TOPIC: PAUL’S WORD TO BELIEVERS. Openness (7)

MEMORY VERSE:
2 Corinthians 13:12.
“12. Greet one another with an holy kiss.”

BiBLE READING:
1 Peter 2:1.
“1. Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings.
I welcome you to the last day of September and the conclusion of our study on the words of Apostle Paul to all believers. We shall be focusing on the word, “Openness, Truthfulness, and a Pure Heart, free of deceit among believers.” From our text, Apostle said, “Greet one another with a holy Kiss” He was only saying we should restrict malice and strive from ourselves. We should live in oneness, to be open to one another. “Holy Kiss” is very scarce among believers, as many have hatred for someone and still pretending to be a friend, No, this is what Apostle Paul was saying. Truthfulness with one another, we should be open to say what’s in our mind, not pretend all is well when we are really hurts by someone’s attitude.

Speak the truth to others, avoid hypocrites, malice and wickedness to believers and unbelievers. Let your yes be yes and your no be no. Speak the truth to one another in love and resist attitude that will cause a break in your fellowship with God the Father. Greet one another in truth without any bias. God can’t work when openness is lacking among us. As we end this teachings today, let’s search ourselves and do the needful in order to please the Lord and our Saviour.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: PAUL’S WORD TO BELIEVERS. God’s Presence Is Guaranteed (6)

MEMORY VERSE:
2 Corinthians 13:11
11 Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you.

BIBLE READING:
Philippians 4:6-7
6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Beloved of God, it’s another weekend today as we continue our studying of Paul’s words to the Corinthians. Today, we focus on enjoying “God’s Love and Peace”. This is an attribute of God which He gladly releases on those who are His. This attribute of God can only be enjoyed by God giving us. How do we partake of it? Apostle Paul was simply saying, if you will live by these things, – Being Joyful, Grow to Maturity, Encouraging one another, Living in Harmony and being Peaceful with others is the guarantee of God’s Love and Peace. We can’t have access to God’s love and peace when we lack those life style we’ve studied about.
When you live to please the Lord in those ways, you will pray and God will grant your request, then, will the peace of God that supercede all understanding be ours that’s when we will know the love of God and express it to others. We have responsibility to take in order to receive the Love and Peace of God, those are the responsibility. This is why many Christians aren’t experiencing God’s love and peace because what it entails has not been done. Now, we all know and have heard it, can we activate the Love and Peace of God? Can we take on the responsibility to partake of God’s Love and Peace? May God gives the grace to walk in His will to fulfilment in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: PAUL’S WORD TO BELIEVERS. Live In Peace (5)

MEMORY VERSE:
2 Corinthians 13:11
11 Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you.

BIBLE READING:
Romans 12:17-18
“17. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18. If It Be Possible, As Much As Lieth In You, Live Peaceably With All Men.”
Our fifth Word from Apostle Paul is the word, “Living In Peace” with one another. Can we really live in peace with each other? Even in Christiandom, is it possible to be at peace with one another? Let’s go back to our topic yesterday, Living in Harmony. Without harmony there can’t be peace. Peace is, accepting others as they are. Peace Isn’t the absence of challenges and differences but knowing people for their habit and accepting them. Let’s take this instance, an insane person going on the street is at peace with everyone. Everyone knows he/she is insane even, if they misbehave nobody interferes, that is what Peace means. When an insane person comes closer to you, you try as much as possible to avoid any clash with them all in the name of peace, that’s what living in peace means, accepting others with their fault, adding little correction and still work with them.
Apostles Paul said, “try your best to live at peace with all men”, not because there’s no offence but all you want is for peace to reign. All marriages you admire from afar are not that perfect or sweet without living in peace. Staying with an unbeliever entails Peace without fear. Children fight for a moment and the next minute they are playing again. Living in Peace is not the absence of argument but managing our differences without hurting one another. Living in peace may be difficult but it helps grow unity amongst us. Endeavour to live in peace wherever you are and God will be glorified.
Good Day and God bless you.

2 Corinthians 13:11
11 Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you.

BIBLE READING:
Amos 3:3.
“3. Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”
Today, we shall be looking at the fourth word of Apostle Paul to all believers. Paul said, “Live In Harmony”. First of all, what is Harmony? Harmony is the combination of different personalities, sounds or idea to produce a specific and unique goal. Harmony is submitting your ego, pride, knowledge to work with others in other to achieve a cooperate success. Harmony is based on Agreement, Sacrifice and humility. Harmony is what makes marriages work, it makes ministry move forward, it makes nation united and makes achievement in business easier. To live in harmony simply means accepting other’s ideas without neglecting anyone. Giving room to everyone’s idea in order to achieve cooperate success. This is what Harmony entails.
When Paul was speaking to the Philippians 2:2, He said,
“2 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, And Working Together With One Mind And Purpose.” (NLT)
If I may ask, do we really live in harmony? Don’t you want your own ideas to be accepted even it won’t work? Problems in Ministry today is traceable to lack of Harmony. Amos 3:3, said,
“3. Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” This is talking about Harmony, not love. Harmony is the foundation of Love. When harmony is achieved, to love will be easier. Harmony is all about submitting to the best decision not to my decision. Apostle Paul encourages us to live in harmony in other to please God. Living in harmony may seems foolish but the result will be glaring in due time. Marriage can only succeed when the two live in harmony. Believers can make heaven when we live in harmony, submitting to one purpose and not doctrine of the church. Work towards Harmony and we will be making God glad.

2 Corinthians 13:11
11 Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you.

BIBLE READING:
Hebrews 10:25.
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Beloved of God, welcome to the continuation of the final words of Apostle Paul to all believers and fitting for this season. The world is getting closer to the coming of our saviour and this words of Paul speaks directly to everyone. Today, we are focusing on “Encourage one another”. This isn’t the season to criticize, condemn and fight ourselves. It’s a season that the devil is ready to destroy believers knowing fully well that, he has limited time. Believers are to be a shoulder to one another. We are to encourage ourselves. It’s not the seasons to laugh at falling soldiers or hero, it’s a season to move closer and help them up.
The book of Hebrew talks about encouraging one another through our gathering. When we come together in fellowship, it’s a season to encourage and not pinpoint one another’s weaknesses. Nobody desires to miss the race to God’s kingdom but when we see such, what they need from us is our encouragement not rebuke and being cast away. That believer, man of God, brothers and sisters needs your encouragement not criticism. The situation of the world today can make one get lost. Encourage in love and restore the lost back to God. God bless you.

2 Corinthians 13:11
11 Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you.

BIBLE READING:
Hebrews 5:12-14.
“12. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Welcome to the message of Apostle Paul to all believers. Yesterday, we digged at the Word, “Be Joyful” in all situation. Today, we shall be studying the second words of Paul’s word which says, “Grow To Maturity”. When Paul said this, what did he really meant? Maturity in Christianity means to study the word of God and gain God’s approval as His son’s and daughter. To become like Him in words, action  a d thought. Many believers still live the way they were after years of coming to Christ. They still depend on being taught the foundation of Christianity, “do’s and don’t do” of Christianity. Many still find it difficult to run from sin and are controlled by flesh.
Paul said, it’s time to grow out of babe and to maturity, where we will also be the teachers of the word and not student for life. We need to be breaking bones and not drinking milk. We need to be strong in the Lord in our prayer live and not waiting for someone to pray for us. It’s time to be more committed to doing the biddings of God and not depending on others for our walk with God. Increase your study time for God’s word and increase your praying time, be more focus on pleasing God. It’s time to be a mature Christian. I pray that we all overcome that battle against our maturity in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Good Day and God bless you.

BIBLE READING:
1 Thessalonians 5:16
“16. Rejoice evermore.”
Beloved of God I welcome you to this week devotional where God Is going to be speaking to us from the last word of Apostle Paul to the Corinthians. After Apostle Paul encouraged, corrected, rebuked and instructed the Corinthians, he ended his letter with these few words, the first said, Be Joyful.
Be Joyful is the First word to everyone reading today’s Devotional. To be joyful isn’t the absent of challenges and opposition but the confidence that, it will soon be over, this too will pass and we will smile again, because, Jesus has won the victory for us. I’ll like you to think back a little, there were times in life when we were faced with situations that seems not to have solution or a way out, when we felt being forsaken and neglected but Jesus came somehow for our rescue, and the situation subsided. This present situation we are faced with will also melt away if we will be joyful enough and focus on God. Joyfulness birth a relax mind ready for directives from God. It puts one in control of the situation. Brethren, it’s not time to be discouraged, depressed or confused about the situations around, it’s time to be joyful for what God is about to do. The joy of the Lord shall be our strength in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Be joyful.

TOPIC: SUFFERING: Run To Jesus (6)

MEMORY VERSE:
Romans 8:18
“18. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

BIBLE READING:
Matthew 11:28-30.
“28. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Suffering is bad and can lead to death if not handled early enough in life. We have discussed different reasons for suffering but I want us to know that, Jesus is the only way out of suffering. He is the deliverer sent to save everyone from all ugly situation we may find ourselves.
No matter the level and reason for suffering Jesus is the solution we need. He said, “I am the way, the truth and the life” John. 14:6. No matter what the situation may be, Jesus is all we need. That was why he said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Jesus is all we need to trace our steps out of suffering. His yoke is our service to Him. He is saying, come to me with your suffering, lay it down at my feet and serve me, learn from me and you will be free from suffering. Many of us came to Him but still held our suffering without laying it at His feet. We run after miracle instead of serving Him wholeheartedly. It’s time to come to God totally in order to be save from all forms of suffering. Surrender to Him and serve Him faithful and He will as attend to your sufferings.
Good Day and God bless you.

MEMORY VERSE:
Romans 8:18
“18. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

BIBLE READING:
Exodus 20:5.
“5. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;”
Today, we are considering another source of suffering. It shouldn’t be surprising that many goes through sufferings for no reasons known to them. Many Suffer the consequences of their grand parent. Some goes around suffering the consequences of what their parent did in time past. Some marriages suffers the consequences of their spouse, in-laws or past relationship. God speaking to Moses, said, “He Visit the inquiries of parent upon the children, to the third and forth generation”, sufferings of great grand parents, I decree today, as many that are passing through sufferings from unknown source, Heaven will intervene and rescue you in Jesus might name, Amen.
A good example from the bible was the story of Achan, who brought destruction upon his entire family and the Israelite. Joshua 7:1-26. Because of Achan’s sin thirty-six Israelites died, his whole family was also killed, you will not fall victim of other person’s consequence again in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. I want you to begin to rebuke every sufferings you are going through traceable to any Man and Woman, that God, in His mercy will deliver you in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Week 38, Day 4:
Wednesday, 20th September 2023.

TOPIC: SUFFERING: Self Afflicted Suffering – Part 2 (4)

MEMORY VERSE:
Romans 8:18
“18. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

BIBLE READING:
Ecclesiastes 5:6
6 Don’t let your mouth make you sin. And don’t defend yourself by telling the Temple messenger that the promise you made was a mistake. That would make God angry, and he might wipe out everything you have achieved.
We are made to know that one can bring suffering upon himself or herself through bad habits and attitude. Today, we will continue on that same note. Self Afflicted Suffering might come from God because of unfulfilled vows. Most times when we are going through challenges, we are forced to make some commitment to God one way or the other. We make promise to do this or that when God turn things around but we refused or forgot to fulfil it, this also attracts direct suffering from God.
King Solomon said, “Don’t let your mouth make you sin. And don’t defend yourself by telling the Temple messenger that the promise you made was a mistake. That would make God angry, and he might wipe out everything you have achieved.”
God gets angry when we refuse, deny or changed our mind concerning vows made to Him. Why? God never promise and change His mind, so in like manners, He want us to fulfil what we vowed and if not, “That would make God angry, and He might wipe out everything you have achieved.” The truth is this, you might not remember the vow and God wouldn’t let go of it.
How to Handle Vows.
1. Document your vow.
2. Make vows you can fulfil.
3. Let the vow be personal not connected to someone else’s.
Unfulfiled vows brings suffering from God. Can you sit back and think of vows yet to be paid? Run to God and fulfil them to stop the anger of God.
Good Day and God bless you.
