TOPIC: WAITING TIME NOT A WASTED TIME 7: Time To Show Care.

MEMORY VERSE:
James 1:2-4.
“2. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 40:6-7.
“6. And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad.
7. And he asked Pharaoh’s officers that were with him in the ward of his lord’s house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day?”
Apologies for yesterday devotional. I discovered it was a repeat of two days ago. You can get the Devotional for Friday, 17th February, 2023 through the link below. Sorry for the inconveniences.
Thank you.
As we end the teaching on “Waiting Time Not Wasted Time”, today our Sub-Topic says, Waiting period is a time to Care For Others, Yes, we always have something to offer no matter our low estate. There’s room for gifts, talent, advice, little help, prayers and encouraging words. God won’t demand more than we have. He placed you in that situation, to solve someone’s problem before you get your freedom. There’s something in you that no one else’s possesses to care for someone around you presently. Let’s put it this way, waiting period is a time to sow your seeds.
Joseph would have missed it all in life if he never cared for the King’s Cup Bearer. He showed care to two people and one led to his freedom. Abraham saw three angels not knowing the Lord was present, He cared for them all, even without a child of His own and this earned him a specific time for isaac. The shunnamite woman showed care for Elisha and she ended up having a child. That period is the season to care for others not just to tell them what you are going through. You have their solutions with you, care for them and your freedom will manifest.
Good Morning And God Bless You.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

James 1:2-4.
“2. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

BIBLE READING:
Philippians 4:11-13.
11. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Waiting Period is a tool to shaping us to what God intended us to be. It prepares us to fit into God’s plans for our lives where we’ll be a vessel for His glory. Discipline is a product of Waiting Period. Being discipline in words, acts, time, resources, money, with people and God. To be discipline takes time and energy and that’s why God allow us to go through waiting period.
Apostle Paul said, ‘I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me’ yes through Christ but via discipline during tough times, in lack and in abundance. The discipline of Joseph in the prison helped him manage the seven years of plenty and seven years of famine. You don’t buy everything you see because you have the means, you go for what you need and useful, discipline. You’re not to be everywhere, you’re only to be present where you’re needed and valued. Discipline will make you do the right thing at the right time and right place. It helps you to fast, pray, study God’s word without affecting your daily activities. Yes, discipline means elasticity, being stretch beyond your boundaries. Waiting Period brings this out in you. Learn to be discipline.
Good Morning And God Bless You.

BIBLE READING:
James 1:3-4.
3. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Remember, waiting period is that season when things takes another turn in one’s life. When one can’t explain the reason for change of situations and has no idea of when things will change. What that period is meant to establish in us is Patience. Waiting period comes to Teach us Patience. If you are a student, aside the strike issues, you know how many years your program will take if you are ready but that’s not the situation about waiting period. Waiting period last till when the virtue called patience has been developed.
Being patience for God in that situation enhances change of situations. Mind you, being patience is different from being idle. You are active with what you’re doing and trusting God for expected changes. After two good years of interpreting the cup bearer’s dream Joseph was rememered. God was still telling Joseph to be more patient till His time comes. Altogether, He waited for thirteen years before things turn around. When he saw his siblings the patience was in place. He was able to control himself till he got all the details needed about his father and brother, Benjamin. Without patience, vengeance will always be the focus. Until the virtue of patience is develop, waiting period may be longer than expected. Be patience with God, yourself and with others to end your waiting period. Learn to be patience in that situation.
Good Morning And God Bless You.

“2. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 39:7-9.
“7. And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.
8. But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;
9. There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
We’ve been studying reasons for waiting. We’ve been made to know that waiting period isn’t a wasted time, neither was it useless but a season of Strength Renewal, Learning period and Preparation Season. Today we’re studying another reason for waiting which is Temptations’ season or Test season. Yes, this season is when you are being temptated in different ways to know if you can stand and overcome any forms of lust. Season where your faithfulness, trust, loyalty and faith will be tempted. When your temper will be tried, when you’ll be tempted with those things you desire but not capable of earning, will you overcome? Will you pass the test?
Joseph was tempted by his Boss’s wife to lay with him but passed the test by rejecting temptation. Although, It landed him in the prison but he never failed the test. God uses those rigorousity to know who we’ll become when we’re rightly position. It’s a pity that many failed the test and couldn’t move on to their destined place in life. I pray with you this morning, may will not fail the test in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Beware, you’re in the season of temptation don’t be caught on aware.
Good Morning And God Bless You.

TOPIC: WAITING TIME NOT A WASTED TIME 3: Preparation Season

MEMORY VERSE:
James 1:2-4.
“2. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 39:3-4.
“3. And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
4. And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.”
Waiting time shows you the purpose of God for your life in spite of the situation you are. When you are waiting or going through those difficult time, they are preparation time. As a student seats for examination that’s how God is examining us. He will show us where He is taking us to, in disguise all he wanted from us is how we will handle the situations when we get there. When potiphar bought Joseph as a slave, he never intended to put him in charge of his house, he was to be used as a slave but God knew the reasons why he brought him there so, he made potiphar danced to His own tune by putting him in charge and see how he will handle it.
If we can be sensitive we will see where God is taking us to in disguise notwithstanding what we are going through. Joseph was a slave but a high rank slave over other slaves, he was a commander even though a foreigner. All these was a way of God preparing him on how to handle situations when he gets to the place of God’s purpose. Even in the prison, he was still put in-charge above all his contemporaries. You are under the construction of God in that waiting period. How you handle situations determines when you are graduating from that stage to another stage. Do you oppress people with that little post still in the prison? Do you look down on people with that little in your hands? To graduate from that level and reach your next destination it’s in your hands. Allow God to have his way in you.
Good Morning And God Bless You.

TOPIC: WAITING TIME NOT A WASTED TIME 2: Learning Process.

MEMORY VERSE:
James 1:2-4.
“2. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 42:23.
“23. And they knew not that Joseph understood them; for he spake unto them by an interpreter.”
Today, we will be studying another reason for waiting period. Waiting period is a Learning Process. During waiting period, God teaches you all you need to know about where you’re going. When you remain in your comfort zone, you’ll lack a lot of knowledge to accomplish what God has for you. If you are to go through it there, you won’t see the learning process important so there’s need for God to take you out of that comfort zone to learn in a hard way.
Joseph will rule over the Egyptian some day as second in command, so to function rightly, he needed to understand the Egyptian language, he need to be fluent in hearing and speaking the language. If God had told him to learn the language in Canaan land he would be asking, why would I learn the Egypt language? What do we have in common? So, God had to take him out of his comfort zone to live in Egypt for thirteen good years inorder to understand the language. How are you learning the process? Hope you’re not being carried away about your comfort zone? God took you out of that place so you can be comfortable to learn what you lack. Be sensitive to know what God is teaching you in your present state. When you feel lost where you are, know that the Lord brought you there to learn new things, your waiting period is a time to get new knowledge.
Good Morning and God Bless you.

Week 7, Day 1:
Sunday, 12th February, 2023.

TOPIC: WAITING TIME NOT A WASTED TIME 1: You Renew Strength.

MEMORY VERSE:
James 1:2-4.
“2. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

BIBLE READING:
Isaiah 40:31.
“31. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;…”
This week, I will be changing our thought about wasted time in life according to the word of the Lord. As the Lord will be leading us to see things differently from others.
When things are not working for us, we term them wasted years. When we are jobless, forgotten, waiting for the fruit of the womb, for spouse and feel neglected, we called them dark period but that’s not what they are, they are time for Strenght Renewal. They are time to change some habit, change our ways and renew our focus on God.
Apostle James said, “Count it all joy when you fall into different temptations”. Temptations are not just when you are tempted to sin but when you are tempted to quit the path of God. Those situations, as listed above, are temptations that makes us feel we are useless to God and men, forgotten by God but that’s not what God is seeing about it. Let’s take for instance, you have your beans, many may desire to cook it raw, some may desire to make Bean cake, some beans soup and others moimoi, they are all beans product but have different means to achieve them. When you peel the back of your beans to make beans cake or moimoi, you are only processing the beans to give you what you want from it not that you dislike the beans itself, that’s how God sees that situation. Somethings need to be removed from us to become the ‘who’ we are created to be. That time in your life is a renewal process not a forgotten time. Yield to God as he brings out the moimoi in you for your sweetness. Join me tomorrow for continuation.
Good Morning and God Bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 6, Day 7:
Saturday, 11th February, 2023.

TOPIC: BE GRATEFUL 7:
For His Faithfulness

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 103:1-2.
“1. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:”

BIBLE READING:
Lamentations 3:22-23.
“22. It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
The Faithfulness of the Lord has never failed around our lives. We are not beind saved by our Faithfulness, righteousness or services but God’s compassion gave us the privilege to enjoy His love without measure. Do we really deserve to be alive, no. Do we deserved to be this great by our works, no, but by his compassion He made all these available to us, we need to be grateful to Him.
King Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 9:11,
“9. I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.”
It has been His Faithfulness at work for us till date, not by power, strength, skill, understanding or wisdom but God’s faithfulness. Are we better than those under the bridge, the childless, the aged singles, dead, orphan or disabled? No, we are singled out by God’s faithfulness not our Faithfulness. Feel relax and be grateful this weekend because it hasn’t been your effort but God’s compassion brought us His Faithfulness. Show Him your gratitude today.
Good Morning and God Bless you.

Week 6, Day 6:
Friday, 10th February, 2023.

TOPIC: BE GRATEFUL 6:
For Being A Life

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 103:1-2.
“1. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:”

BIBLE READING:
Isaiah 38:18-19.
“18. For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.
19. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.”
The most powerful debt a living soul can owe is to deny God a grateful heart. The difference between the dead and the living is being Grateful to God no matter the condition we find ourselves. We are alive to show forth the praise of God. God said to Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 43:21-22.
“22. This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.
Being alive is showing forth God praise which is being grateful for living. When Ezekiel realises that he has extra fifteen years more to live, He lifted up his voice to show His gratitude to God, He said, The living, the living, will praise you as am doing today. Those Who go down into the grave can’t hope for the faithfulness of God. If you are alive this morning, forget every other things and be grateful for life. When you appreciate God for being alive you are proving the reason for your living. The situation of the nation is not a reason to be ingrate because you are still living. Those situations are not reason to stop praising God, 1 Thessalonians 5:18, says,
“18. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
The will of God is that, all living soul should thank God no matter what. So be grateful for life this Morning.
God Morning and God Bless you.

TOPIC: BE GRATEFUL 5:
For Sleeping And Waking Up

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 103:1-2.
“1. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:”

BIBLE READING:
Psalms 3:5
5 I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustained me.
Psalms 127:2
2 It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.
Sleeping and waking up may seems like the easiest thing to do. To wake up after some time or few hours, is another big benefit from the Lord. Do you know many can’t sleep at all? Some can’t close their eyes without the use of some form of medication? Have you imagined people sleeping and never saw the light of another day? Yes, it does happen, but to you and I it seems normal but, it’s abnormal to many out there, be grateful to God for every day.
David said, For so He gives His beloved sleep.” We are able to sleep fine because God gave us the grace to sleep not because of tiredness or we choose to but Our Father gave us sleep with easy. Some even over sleep, it’s by God’s grace not by power or tablet.
“I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustained me.” For we waking up, the Lord has been our sustainer. He’s been the brain behind it all not that alarm or urgency of work but God. Be grateful for sleeping and waking up, God is the reason behind it all, many slept and never woke up.
God Morning and God Bless you.
