TOPIC: WHY THE DELAY OF PROPHECIES? 6 Lack Of Consistent Prayers

MEMORY VERSE:
Numbers 23:19
19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He Spoken, and will He not make it good?

BIBLE READING:
2 Kings 18:41-45
41 Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.”
42 So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees,
43 and said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” So he went up and looked, and said, “ There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again.”
44 Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’ ”
45 Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. So Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel.
When God speaks, He meant every word He pronounced.
Is. 55:10-11,says,
“10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater,
11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
Whatever God has declared is what God is about to do.
You may want to ask, why then did Jesus said, We should ask? To ask is to keep reminding God what He has declared about us. It’s to let Him know we have trust in His word. To ask means to commune with him about His prophecies.
Elijah heard God clearly, 1 Kings 18:1, that He is about to send the rain after three years of drought. When Elijah finished with the prophet of Baal, He went to the mountain to pray about what God promised. I wondered what his prayer points were, just like,
“Father, do not put me to shame. I have declared as you’ve promised, Lord, bring it to pass.” “Establish your prophecies concerning the rain.”
God’s Prophecies doesn’t give us the mind of relaxation that all is well, We need to pray it to fulfillment. Elijah prayed with instant expectation and it became real.
We need to pray as if we are yet to receive the fulfillment of God’s Prophecies. He prayed by putting his head between his knee despite being a prophet of God. Are you praying those prophecies to pass? Are you relaxed, doing nothing about the fulfilment of God’s Prophecies and wet your pillow with tears? That won’t bring it to pass, you need to start praying to remind God of those prophecies about you until they are fulfilled.
Good Morning and God Bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC: WHY THE DELAY OF PROPHECIES? 5 Doubting  God’s Prophecies

MEMORY VERSE:
Numbers 23:19
19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do?  Or has He Spoken, and will He not make it good?

BIBLE READING:
Luke 1:18-20
18 And Zacharias said to the angel, “How shall I  know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is  well advanced in years.”
19 And the angel answered and said to him, “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings.
20 But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these  things take place, because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time.”
Luke 1:30-34, 38
“30. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
32. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33. And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
38. And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.”
I pray with you this morning, God’s prophecies concerning you will be fulfilled this month in Jesus Mighty Name.
These two personality had angelic visitation  six month interval for the same purpose, Child Birth. They both replied the Angel with similar responses but Mary’s question and response was more genuine than that of Zacharias, a priest, why? Because he doubted the ability of God. Zacharias was old which was enough reason to doubt but two reasons why He shouldn’t have doubted was, He was a Priest, secondly, He has a wife, these should have encouraged him not to doubt but he did doubted. On the other hand, Mary, who was a virgin without a husband yet, was told to be expecting a child, and this was her response to the angel,
Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.”
But she never doubted God’s prophecies.
When (positive) prophecies come, do you accept or doubt them? Do you always see reasons for impossibility of promises of God in your life? When you doubt His prophecies, you delay the fulfillment. When you doubt God’s promises you are rejecting it indirectly. Mary, regardless of her situation, without a husband yet, accepted the prophecy and it was fulfilled in her life. It took God’s grace to fulfill the prophecy in the life of Zacharias.
Are you still a
‘doubting Thomas’ concerning what God has promised you? Please start believing  in order to Hasten it to come to pass.

4 Lack Of Positive Actions

MEMORY VERSE:
Numbers 23:19
19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He Spoken, and will He not make it good?

BIBLE READING:
Gen 21:1-3
1 And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had spoken. 2 For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
3 And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him—whom Sarah bore to him—Isaac.
As Christian, when we study our Bible we need the Holy Spirit to reveal deeper than what is written in the Pages of the Holy Book. The Scripture is a folded book (mysteries) that need to be unfolded in other to get the necessary details,
Ps. 119:130 says, The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. NIV
How did Sarah conceived? At old age, did she went for IVF? No. Despite their age, Ninety Nine years father Abraham needed to carry out his duty with Eighty Nine years mother Sarah for God’s prophecies to be fulfilled. They both would have allowed God to bring Isaac without taking the needed actions as Husband and wife.
Zacharias, a priest, despite his unbeliever, still had to carryout his responsibility as a Husband before the promise was fulfilled.
Luke 1:23-25
“23 So it was, as soon as the days of his service were completed, that he departed to his own house.
24 Now after those days his wife Elizabeth conceived; and she hid herself five months, saying,
The promises wasn’t fulfilled while he was still on duty, No. He finished his duty and went home, “Now after many days …..,”, When he performed His duty to his wife, The promises of God was fulfilled.
What is that action you need to take? Who is that person you need to meet regardless of the obstacles? God’s promises is always wrapped in action. God’s promises never neglect our action, contributions and steps. Many sons and daughters need to reconcile with their parents for God’s promises to be fulfilled. Some spouses need to be humble regardless of their age or income before God bring His promises to past. Which action do you need to take? Who do you need to forgive? Which secret do you need to expose for things to get better? Start thinking about it. Take the action. Everything remain at rest until a force is applied, that force is the action to turn things around.

3 Lack Of Expectation

MEMORY VERSE:
Numbers 23:19
19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He Spoken, and will He not make it good?

BIBLE READING
Gen 18:6-8
“6. So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes.”
7 And Abraham ran to the herd, took a tender and good calf, gave it to a young man, and he hastened to prepare it.
8 So he took butter and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them; And He Stood By Them Under The Tree As They Ate.”
At Ninety-nine years, Abraham wouldn’t have been able to perform any magic on Sarah to be pregnant at Eighty-Nine years. The promises of God was still standing even after Ismael was born to Abraham. One of the things that helped Abraham was the ability to Be In Expectation of God’s Prophecies.
From Genesis 18, Abraham’s expectation made him invite the Angels of God, in human form, to his house. His expectation made him served, and stood with them as they were eating, in order to hear what God will say again.
8 So he took butter and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them; And He Stood By Them Under The Tree As They Ate.
Expectation is as important as the promises of God. Expectation involves blessing people who has in them what you are expecting, It involves, liking and loving those thing you are expecting, and going closer to God daily. It also involves researching about the promises.
Acts 3:4-6
4 And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.”
5 So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.
Expectation involves your full attention on the one who made the promise. Many are expecting a job but sit at home without being on the look out. God is not a magician that will make a promise, still run around to establish the promise without our contributions, No. Study the word of God about His promises to you. Be expectant regardless of the years it takes. Committed Expectation Hastens His promises to come to pass.
I pray with you today, that promise of God will begin to manifest in Jesus Mighty Name. Your expectations will not be defeated in Jesus Mighty Name.

2 Seeking Alternative Route

MEMORY VERSE:
Numbers 23:19
19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He Spoken, and will He not make it good?

BIBLE READING
Genesis 16:1-4.
“1. Now, Sarai Abram’s wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.
2. And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.
3. And Sarai Abram’s wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.
4. And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.”
When we try things our own ways against God’s given instructions we seems to bring delayed to His Prophecies in our lives. God told Abraham many times that his wife, Sarah, will birth him a child which is the mind of God. But Abraham listened to Sarah’s idea as an alternative way of having a child. Abraham would have reminded Sarah what God said, that, she will still have a child of her own, or better still, Abraham would have seek the face of God on the matter but No, He took the alternative route given by His wife which led to the birth of Ismail but God rejected Him. After the birth of Ismail, there wasn’t any record of God speaking to Abraham until fourteen years later, Gen. 16:16 – Gen 17:1.
There was a great silence until God came looking for Abraham again in Genesis chapter 17:1, when Ismail was thirteen years of age. This was one reason why Abraham had Isaac at One Hundred years of age.
When we wait on God for his Prophecies, we need to exercise patience to receive the Prophecies. Don’t try the other way since God never gave you the instructions to do. Stay with God. Listen to Him for the next step. Don’t try short cut to God promises. His ways can only be His way, no other. Keep waiting for His Prophecies to be establish upon your life. Alternative means simply mean, I can’t wait for you. Don’t cause the reasons for your delay. May the Lord Strengthened us all to always wait for His Prophecies over our lives in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Good Morning and God Bless you.

TOPIC: WHY THE DELAY OF PROPHECIES? 1. There’s Time Factor

MEMORY VERSE:
Numbers 23:19
19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

BIBLE READING:
Ecclesiastes 3:11
“11. He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”
Our God is not a man that lies or changes His mind. He says what He will do. His promises are His pre-planned purposes for everyone. When He says it He meant it and it will surely come to pass. So, why the delayed promises? Why are they not coming to pass? Every of God’s Promises has a time frame. God’s promises are timely. Until the time comes the promises are not fulfilled.
King Solomon said, “God made all things beautiful in it’s time”, there is a time for those promises to be fulfilled in our lives. If they are fulfilled before time we will waste it before the needed time. We all know that God is the Alpha and Omega of everything. He knows when we need what we need and the right timing for it. God hasn’t forgotten you, the promises are not delayed they are timed and will fulfilled at the right time. It’s not yet time to quit, it’s time to keep holding on those prophecy. Hold unto what God says, He will surely fulfill those prophecy soon.
God Bless you.

TOPIC: THERE’S ALWAYS WAGES 7: Greatest Wages Of All

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Tim. 5:18
“18 For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”

BIBLE READING:
Romans 6:23.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
After all we have discussed this week on wages, I want to remind us of the wages of sin and righteousness. Yes, there is wages for sin and righteous living.
“All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death.”
1 Jn. 5:17
Accepting to live a righteous life through the gift of God, which is Jesus Christ, has wages of eternal life, while living in sin has wages of death. Not having Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour leads to death (both spiritual and physical death) but having Him and living in Him leads to eternal life.
Every acts can be categorized into two which are, Righteous and Unrighteous acts. What is Righteous acts? it’s the act of doing things Rightly not just doing good things. An act might be good and not right. Every act that is right leads to eternal life while every act that is unrighteous leads to death.
May I let us know that our daily acts leads to one of the two wages. Which of the greatest wages will you prefer? When we cheat there’s wages for it here on earth and in heaven. When we bless there’s also wages for us on earth and in heaven. What will be your wages, good deeds or bad deeds?
God Bless you and Good Morning.

TOPIC: THERE’S ALWAYS WAGES 6: Your Wages Has Effect On Other

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Tim. 5:18
“18 For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”

BIBLE READING:
2 Samuel 24:13-15.
“13. So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days’ pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.
14. And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.
15. So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men.”
When the effect of our wages comes, either good or bad, many will partake of it. Every act of ours have an impact on many around us.
King David counted the Israelite against the will of God and God was angry with him bitterly which cause a plague on the Israelite who never sinned, 70,000 Israelite died as a result of this. King David was praying to the Lord and he said,
“17 Then David spoke to the LORD when he saw the angel who was striking the people, and said, “Surely I have sinned, and I have done wickedly; but these sheep, what have they done? Let Your hand, I pray, be against me and against my father’s house.”
When God is not happy with our act it goes along way to affect everyone around us. When a company collapse, it results in joblessness. When marriage collapse, it has effect on the children more than any of the spouse. When you inflict pain on someone, their spouse, children relative and siblings will be affected. Likewise, when you help someone, you’ve helped a lot in that family. When you bless someone, many will pray for you and will be bless, so wages has impact on others. What will be the impact of your wages on others?
Begin to check your works, will you change your way of thinking and act in order to have good wages? Remember, do to others what you would have them do to you, this way, you can have the wages that brings you joy.
God Bless you and Good Morning.

TOPIC: THERE’S ALWAYS WAGES 5: Your Actions Determine Your Wages

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Tim. 5:18
“18 For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”

BIBLE READING:
Math. 7:12
“12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”
This Bible reading today has been my favourite verse of the Bible. If every Christian can have this verse in our heart, I think Christianity will be a better way of life. Christians pray a lot, fast a lot, go to services regularly but our action is always different from our request from God.
Matthew 7:12 is a Christian Principle that we should live by. Your prayers and your actions should be the same. Your way of life should not be against your prayers. This verse simply means, anything you do to others should be what you should expect from God as your wages.
When you sow a seed of beans you can’t pray to God to change it to rice, No, it’s out of God’s miracle. You can’t be killing people and keep praying that God should protect your family. You can’t make people suffer and expect satisfaction from God.
Do you want to be helped? Start helping people. You want to be blessed? Start blessing other. Follow the principle, do to others what you want them to do to you.
Note this, not everyone you helped will pay you back, but God will always raise helpers for you because you have sown the seed. So, you can determine your wages by what you do and pray in line with your action also. Your words are coming back to you, your actions are coming back to you, that’s the Brain behind the word, “What Goes Around Comes Around” because you will surely have it back as wages. Do to me what you’ll expect me to do to you and others when time comes. This is how our wages are measured and determine because it sums up the law and the prophet. Determine your wages with what you do daily.
God Bless you and Good Morning.

TOPIC: THERE’S ALWAYS WAGES 4: God Is Not Partial

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Tim. 5:18
“18 For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”

BIBLE READING:
Eph. 6:9
9 And you, masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.
The greatest Master and Boss is God. He rules over the affairs of men; the great and the small, the privileges and less privileges, the rich and the poor, male and female, young and old, He rules over everything everywhere. So, whatever and whoever you are, God is our Master. He dethrone and enthrone, He can do and undo, and whatever He does is permanent. He is the judge of all and rewarder of every act.
As a Master, Boss, Superior, Head, Senior, don’t threatening people under you. The Master of all is above watching. He shows no partiality to anyone. The good news is this, our wages is not just in Heaven, No, it begins from the earth: in our homes, offices, churches and environment. We keep receiving our rewards.
As i’m speaking, many are going through the wages of their attitude in time past to one of those listed above. Listen to this, wherever you are is traceable to your past.
Are you above, Be humble before God humbles you. As the wages of sin is death, the wages of pride is disgrace. We will not be disgraced in Jesus mighty name. As a leader, you also have wages to receive from God, no matter your height or position in life, so, let your attitude be govern by this reality, “I have wages for my attitude because God is not partial with our wages”.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
