TOPIC: SIDE ATTRACTION SERVICES 3: Assist With Your Power.

MEMORY VERSE:
Ps. 78:70.
“70 He also chose David His servant, And took him from the sheepfolds;

BIBLE READING:
1 Sam. 25:14-17.
“14 Now one of the young men told Abigail,  Nabal’s wife, saying, “Look, David sent  messengers from the wilderness to greet our  master; and he reviled them.
15 But the men were very good to us, and we were not hurt, nor did we miss anything as long as we accompanied them, when we were in the fields.
16 They were a wall to us both by night and day, all the time we were with them keeping the sheep.
17 Now therefore, know and consider what you will do, for harm is determined against our master and against all his household. For he is such a scoundrel that  one cannot speak to  him.”
Today, being the third day of this topic, we are still studying David and how He used his position. David was in the wilderness where he was running for his life from King Saul. He became homeless and unsettled. In the midst of all these, he was mighty with Four Hundred men around him, how were they feeding? Only God knows. But there was a prosperous man who had his herdsmen around David in the wilderness day and night. Nobody asked David for protection from any arm but David and his men made it a point of duty to watch over Nabal’s flock. They were surely in need of food and meat daily, but David never touches the man’s flocks neither was there a day when one of it got  missing. He used his power to help the unknown man. He and his four hundred men would have harassed the herdsmen and slaughtered many sheep several times but he chose to use his power to protect them. He wasn’t on an errand to protect anyone nor was he paid to do it but he made it a side attraction service, and this service earned him Nabal’s wife, Abigail, as a wife.
Are you using your power to protect your household alone or do others feel your impact? You oppressed others or uplift others? Yes, you are empowered but is it for you and your family alone or to protect everyone around you? Wherever you are today, search for that side attraction service that your power can be used for and start doing it. Every side attraction service can earn more than your real services.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC: SIDE ATTRACTION SERVICES 2: Take The Risk For God.

MEMORY VERSE:
Ps. 78:70.
“70 He also chose David His servant, And took him from the sheepfolds;

BIBLE READING:
1 Sam. 17:22-23, 26-27.
“22 And David left his  supplies in the hand of the supply keeper, ran to  the army, and came and greeted his brothers.
23 Then as he talked with them, there was the  champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by  name, coming up from the armies of the  Philistines; and he spoke according to the same  words. So David heard them.
26 Then David spoke to the men who stood by  him, saying, “What shall be done for the man  who kills this Philistine and takes away the  reproach from Israel? For who is this  uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the  armies of the living God?”
27 And the people answered him in this manner, saying, “So shall it be done for the man who kills him.”
We are studying David’s Side attraction services. Yesterday, we saw how he was serving His father and keep developing himself. Today, we’ll be studying how he was on another mission, to take meal to  his brothers at the battle front. The scripture said,
“22 And David left his  supplies in the hand of the supply keeper, ran to  the army, and came and greeted his brothers.”
He finished his errand, and went for the side attraction errand. In the battlefield was a man whom the king of Israel was not bold to confront or attack. All the soldiers became jittery of him, that none could face him because of just height. But David, a small boy on an errand, who lacks the qualities of a warrior showed interest to defend God by fighting the Goliath. He made enquiry about what the king will do to whoever defeats Goliath and defend God. He wasn’t carried away by the gift but the Glory belonging to God.
Many atimes we run from defending because we were not sent in that errand but the Spirit of God in us keeps propelling us to go on that errand, how often do we obey like David? yes, you were not sent on that errand, take the risk for God. You are not in that area for that assignment alone, God brought you there for other purposes, take the risk and stand for God in that office, ministry, position and marriage. This risk presented David the second time before the King, and He asked him this time around, “Who is your father? You need to defend God regardless of the errand you were sent, that may be your life time breakthrough. Don’t miss the opportunity, take the risk brethren.
God Bless you and Good Morning.

TOPIC: SIDE ATTRACTION SERVICES 1: Building Your Talents

MEMORY VERSE:
Ps. 78:70.
“70 He also chose David His servant, And took him from the sheepfolds;

BIBLE READING:
1 Sam. 16:18
“18 Then one of the servants answered and said, “Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the  Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the LORD is with him.”
Happy New Week to everyone, this week shall bring the fulfillment of God concerning us in Jesus mighty name.
I will be discussing an insight with us titled, “Side Attraction Service” yes, this are services you are not assigned to that you’re  carrying out. Assignment that comes as fun to you while rendering other services to God and Men. To start with, is the story of King David. David was the youngest in the family of Jesse. He was sent to take care of the sheep in the bush. He was serving his father wholehearted but while doing this, he was also involve in a “Side attraction Service” which is, developing his talents, inbuilt gift, playing on harps. I wondered who was dancing to his instrumentations in the bush then. He was catching fun with the instrument and this was what made him known to the king not His skills as a Shepherd boy.
1 Sam. 16:17-19
17 So Saul said to his servants, “Provide me now a man who can play well, and bring him to me.”
18 Then one of the servants answered and said, “Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the  Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the LORD is with him.”
19 Therefore Saul sent messengers to Jesse,  and said, “Send me your son David, who is with  the sheep.”
The King sent for David because of his side attraction services. Wherever you are serving, there is that talent, gift or  services, aside the main services you’re employed to render, that can be developed. You need to develop that side attraction service that will make you known to your lifter. While David was busy playing his instrument he never knew it will take him to the king but it did presented him before king Saul for the first time. What is that other service you can render even where you are serving? you need to start developing them and let people know what you are good at. You don’t need to quit your place of work to make yourself known. David was still serving in the bush, busy with the sheep and having his rehearsals when God sent the King to fetch him out. Still remain a humble servant and keep developing your side attraction service.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

Commit Your Seeds To God.

MEMORY VERSE:
Gal. 6:7-8.
“7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for  whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

BIBLE READING: Prov. 16:3.
“3 Commit your works to the LORD, And your thoughts will be established.”
In our believe, as Christians, nothing works without prayers, likewise every seeds we sown need to be commted to God, Yes. This doesn’t imply that the seeds won’t grow or yield fruit but when a farmer plant his seeds he apply insecticide to preserve the crops in order to have good harvest. This is applicable to every seed sower, we need to pray for all our seeds so as to have a good harvest. You may ask if its necessary, yes it is.
Firstly, it’s a good thing to pray for every of our seeds as we release them, let your prayers follow them. Many sow seeds and it’s used against them by those who received it. Some seeds are sown with joy and willingness to bless others but in reverse those seeds bring hurt back to the sower. You help some people with your seeds and all they do is to belittle it and disregard it, such people are not good ground to sow our seeds. When you sow your seeds, speak to God, “Father as I bless this soul with this seed, it shall be a blessing to them and be use for your glory, i shall not regret sowing this seeds in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen”. Pray for your protection before and after sowing a seed.
Secondly, you need to pray for your seeds to bring harvest. Some people’s harvest has been trapped in the hands of their helpers. Some harvest has changed hand like that of Harman and Mordecai. We need to follow up our seeds with prayers so nothing can stop the harvest.
I pray for you this morning, your seeds shall not be used against you, whichever has been used against you, God begin to reverse them in Jesus Mighty name, Your helpers shall remember your seeds and release your harvest in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
God Bless you and Good Morning.

You Will Have A Fruitful Harvest.

MEMORY VERSE:
Gal. 6:7-8.
“7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for  whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

BIBLE READING:
Math 13:8
“8 But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
What is Harvest? Harvest is the ingathering of what you’ve planted, either long time ago or of recent. To be frank with us, harvest is of two types, the good and the bad. Remember, your seeds determine your Harvest. When you’ve done good you reap good, everyone can’t pay you evil for good, at least someone will remember your good act, likewise, when you are evil, don’t even expect your children or spouse to do you good because the harvest will also come from every side also, so there is always a Harvest which depends on what you’ve down in time past. This is the mystery about Harvest, you don’t reap exactly what you’ve sown, you reap in folds. When you plant a seed of corn, you can reap at least two hundred seeds from one stem of a corn, that is how it looks like. You reap in hundred folds either good or bad.
Luke 6:38, says,
“38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure  that you use, it will be measured back to you.””
This is what this verse means. You can’t work for all you need in life, all you need do is to meet some little needs for others in order to get satisfaction in life via the seeds you’ve sown. Favour is a harvest, Grace is a harvest, receiving gifts is a harvest. Being blessed is a Harvest, all this harvest don’t just come, they are product of our seeds. May I ask you, what harvest are you expecting? You are  specialised in criticising others, your Harvest is close. You can destroy others as a result of envy, wait for your Harvest. You determine what happens to you, so you need to focus on what you will harvest. We will all reap in hundred folds but what are we reaping?
God Bless you and Good Morning.

There’s Always Harvest.

MEMORY VERSE:
Gal. 6:7-8.
“7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for  whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

BIBLE READING:
Ps. 126:5-6.
“5 Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.
6 He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.”
The situation facing our farmers in our nation today is alarming . Recently, we see farmers plant  crops but couldn’t harvest them because of the herds men devouring and destroying their harvest. To most farmer, going to sow their seeds comes with fear, fear of coming back alive and the fear of getting their produce at the harvest  time. But in kingdom sowing, there’s sure harvest for every sower which  can’t be stopped ( neither can any sower be deprived from enjoying His harvest). He will make sure every one who sows reap the harvest. He is a Great Rewarder that never denies anyone their reward, now and in eternity. He said Rev. 22:12,
“12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My  reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.”
This is not just talking about eternity alone, even in our days, He pays everyone their coin, it’s the law of nature, they call it “Karma”, what you sow you will reap. Am glad to let you know that, your seeds are not a waste, there is harvest for it all.
Our Bible Reading today says, “5 Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.” All our seeds will be reaped in Jesus Mighty Name, your commitment in church, work place, family, environment and home will be rewarded soon next in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. It’s always not easy to sow, that’s why the Psalmist said, “those who sow in tears”, helping the orphan, the widow, cousins, friends and the Church of God might not be easy but the reward is certain and will make you smile. You have a harvest, God can’t deny you that, every one who sows will always reap. Don’t quit because the harvest is coming.
God Bless you and Good Morning.

Not All Seeds Produce.

MEMORY VERSE:
Gal. 6:7-8.
“7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for  whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

BIBLE READING:
Eccl. 11:1-6.
The most discouraging aspect about sowing your seed is, sowing without harvesting, it’s makes one weary. Some who have enjoyed your seeds still became those who stabbed you from behind, rewarding evil for good, showing ingratitude or belittling your seeds, it can be so frustrating, but withdrawing from sowing seeds is not an option. That men didn’t appreciate your seeds shouldn’t be the reason to stop sowing seeds.
From our Bible Reading today, I want to bring some points out. Verses 1 says, “Cast your bread upon the waters, For you will find it after many days.’ Your bread is your seed, waters are lives who needs that bread, (seed) you have with you. He said “waters” meaning “multitude”, not just water. We are to keep sowing our seeds to as many as we can reach. Let your gift, calling, talent, profession affect lives everywhere you find yourself.
Verse 4, says,
“4 He who observes the WIND will not SOW, And he who regards the clouds will not reap.’
What is the wind? The attitude of men, ingratitude, belittling habit, these winds shouldn’t stop you from sowing your seeds, remember, it is a gift to you also from God.
Verse 6, says,
“6 In the morning sow your seed,  And in the evening do not withhold your hand; FOR YOU DO NOT KNOW WHICH WILL PROSPER, Either this or that, Or whether both alike will be good.”
Why you should keep sowing? Because you do not know which of them will yield profit. You don’t know which of your seeds the Lord will reward. You don’t know who the Lord will use to lift you up or change your life so, you need to keep sowing your seeds as long as you are alive. Don’t stop sowing because someone discouraged you or rejected your seeds, they may be ingrate but others are not. They may be too proud to reward you but someone is looking for who to reward. Sow your seeds always because no one knows the evil that is ahead and your seed now might be the only solution in the future. Keep sowing that seeds.
God Bless you and Good Morning.

TOPIC: SEED SOWER 3:
Not All Land Are Profitable.

MEMORY VERSE:
Gal. 6:7-8.
“7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for  whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

BIBLE READING:
Math 13:3-7
“3 Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to  sow.
4 And as he sowed, some  seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured  them.
5 Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth.
6 But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away.
7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them.”
Not all seeds can be sown just anywhere. There are places where seeds can grow effectively and there are places that looks fertile but some seeds can’t grow in such place. Every seed also has its season. When you sow a seed in the right place at the wrong season, the seed becomes a waste (without any fruit to show forth). So, it’s very important to know when and where to sow your seeds.
Jesus speaking of the seed sower who went out to sow his seeds, He said some fell on the road, some on a stony places and some in the thorns and they couldn’t yield any profit for the seed sower. Where are you sowing your seeds? Are you sure you are working in the office? Are you suppose to be in that ministry because of the multitude or to be in the gathering of “where two or three gathered”? Is that the marriage you belong to or you are there because of the opportunities that you saw? Hope you are not wasting the gift of an evangelist in the field of a pastor all because of receiving tithe? Where are you sowing your seeds? On the road, in the stony place or amidst the thorns? Only God can help us sow aright. We need to go to God to confirm where our gifts are meant to function and locate the place in order to sow our seeds rightly. May we not be busy but guilty with our seeds in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
God Bless you and Good Morning.

TOPIC: SEED SOWER 2: He Gave Seeds.

MEMORY VERSE:
Gal. 6:7-8.
“7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for  whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
8  For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh  reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit  will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”

BIBLE READING:
Eph. 4:8
“8  Therefore He says:  “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.”
Everyone has seeds to sow. We have been empowered and endowed by God to sow seeds into lives of men. Our gift is not meant to be eaten by us but to build men, equip men and make them better of what they were before meeting with us. Every seed contains in it the surviver of the owner and those it’s meant for. You don’t keep seeds to yourself and until it is sown into other’s life fruit can’t be reaped.
Prov. 11:24, says, “There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is  right, But it leads to poverty.”
When seeds are scattered, it’s not a waste but sown into lives in order to bless lives. All you need do is to identify the gifts of God in you and affect lives with it. Put it to work. Sow the seeds. Without planting a seed the fruit can’t be harvested. What is that gift in your hands? Words of encouragement, prayer, wealth, help ministry, expertise in one field or the other. Your success in life depends on how you use your seeds and the life you sow to.
God Bless you and Good Morning.

TOPIC: SEED SOWER 1: What Is A Seed?

MEMORY VERSE:
Gal. 6:7-8.
“7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for  whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
8  For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh  reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit  will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”

BIBLE READING:
Gal. 6:8.
“For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh  reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit  will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”
Welcome to this week Devotional with the topic, “Seed Sower”. We will be digging deep about seed and the sower, what seeds are, different types of seeds and the harvest. Today, let’s talk about what a seed is. When we are discussing about seed what are we referring to plantable seed here but rather what we do to others. Seeds can be categorized into three form.
1. Our words.
2. Our Actions.
3. Our Thought.
1. Our Words. Prov. 15:1.
Every word we speak is a seed which a fruit. Words can be positive or negative. Words can heal and can kill. It can strengthen and weary others. So, what matter is what seed do you have to sow?
2. Our Action. Math 7:12.
Our behaviour is a seed. How we respond to situations in our daily activities are seeds. The way we react to people’s action to us is a seed. This action can also be positive or negative. It can discourage or encourage others about us. It can give birth to good or bad harvest, so your action also determine what you harvest.
3. Our Thought. Prov. 7:23.
Your thought is what defines you even when other can’t see or hear. It’s a seed that will always produce harvest in the nearest future. Your thought has a way of affecting your attitude to others. Your thought will always determine what others think and do to you unconsciously.
Another aspect about seed is that, it can also be sown to the flesh or the spirit. I’ll like you to know that both are important. You sow to the flesh and to the spirit but sowing to the flesh need more wisdom in order not to reap corruption. I pray this day, that we will sow the right seeds in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
