TOPIC: ARE YOU MOVING WITH THE CROWD? 1: Following The Crowd leads to Confusion

MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 18:19-20.
19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Samuel 13:8-12.
“8 Then he waited  seven days, according to the time set by Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.
9 So Saul said, “Bring a burnt offering and peace offerings here  to me.” And he offered the burnt offering.
10 Now it happened, as soon as he had finished presenting the burnt offering, that Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might  greet him.
11 And Samuel said, “What have you done?” Saul said, “When I saw that the people were  scattered from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered together at Michmash,
12  then I said, ‘The Philistines will now come down  on me at Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the LORD.’ Therefore I felt compelled, and offered a burnt offering.”
God isn’t move by crowd though I never mean God is against the crowd. Jesus said, wide is the road that leads to destruction, meaning crowds leads to destruction but narrow is the way, Few persons walking together leads to success, Math. 7:13-14. When you walk with the crowd you end up confuse. When you live by what other says and do, you miss what God has for you, may we not be confuse in Jesus Mighty name.
King Saul, the first King of Israel fell victim of the crowd. The crowd led him to carry out the duty of Prophet Samuel which led to King Saul loosing the throne to King David. When you focus on crowd, you loose your focus on God and remain confuse. Are you crowd freak? Do you do things because others are doing it? When you are alone in your decision, do you change because no one is following you? Jesus said, where two or three gather in His name, there He is in their mist not until thousand gathered in His name. Beware of crowd’s decision.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC: HOW ACCOMMODATING ARE YOU? 7: Rewarding Your Accommodators

MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 10:41.
“41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall  receive a righteous man’s reward.”

BIBLE READING:
2 Kings 4:11-13 & 16
“11 And it happened one day that he came there,  and he turned in to the upper room and lay down  there.
12 Then he said to Gehazi his servant, “Call this Shunammite woman.” When he had  called her, she stood before him.
13 And he said to him, “Say now to her, ‘Look, you have been  concerned for us with all this care. What can I do for you? Do you want me to speak on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the  army?’ ” She answered, “I dwell among my own people.”
“16 Then he said, “About this time next year you shall embrace a son.”  And she said, “No, my lord. Man of God, do not  lie to your maidservant!”
We live in a world where people take advantage of Good people, rewarding evil for good act, denying good people their reward, some take advantage of other’s services and many good people had regretted offering accommodation, is that who you are? I want everyone this morning to take a deep thought about our action towards those who has once accommodated us, how have we rewarded them? Do you try paying them back with good act?
Elisha was accommodated by a barren woman for days and months without the Shunamite tendering her problem to Elisha. Until He realizes that, the woman needed to be rewarded for her good gesture to them. How was she rewarded? By putting an end to her barrenness. Do you know you have an assignment in the life of your benefactor (that accommodated you)? There are things you need to achieve in his/her life before and/or after departing from that your helper. Prophet Elisha rewarded the Shunamite woman with a child. God and the Angels rewarded Abraham with Isaac. Elijah rewarded the Zarephet woman by restoring her child from dead, what are you rewarding that your benefactor with, good or evil? Haven’t you forgotten Him/Her since he/she helped you? Find redress today, give a call to that person, send a token to him/her, render what you can with the gift in your hands, don’t wait until they ask you, render that services back to them.
God Bless you and Good Morning.

TOPIC: HOW ACCOMMODATING ARE YOU? 6:  Means Of Accommodating?

MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 10:41.
“41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall  receive a righteous man’s reward.”
BIBLE READING:
Matthew 25:34:40
“34 Then the King will say to  those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of  My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 for I was  hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and  you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took  Me in;
36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I  was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying,  ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed  You, or thirsty and give  You drink?
38 When  did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?
39 Or when did we see  You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’
40 And  the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the  least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’  “
We’ve been discussing about being accommodating for some days, so I will like us to see how Christ instructed us to accommodate others in His name.
Our Bible Reading today gave clear ways to accommodate, to see the hungered and feed them. To see the thirsty and give them water to drink. To house the strangers, to cloth the naked, to care for the sick through prayers and moneywise. The prisoners need encouragement and those who can speak on their behalf. To be accommodating is to solve problem for someone, be a solution. Not looking down on others or mocking them with their situation. This is the confidence I have, everyone has one way or the other to accommodate others only if we will be truthful to ourselves. That neighbour of yours who came for an available help from you, accommodate them. The church member with just two  wears, reach out to him. There is much you can do to accommodate others, you’ve been endowed to do it. Be more accommodating.
God Bless you and Good Morning.

TOPIC: HOW ACCOMMODATING ARE YOU? 5:  Who are you accommodating?

MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 10:41.
“41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall  receive a righteous man’s reward.”

BIBLE READING:
Psalms 1:1-3
“1 Blessed is the man  Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.”
Who are those you allow the space in your life? Who do you walk with? Who are your confidants? Who is advising you and how are you responding to them? Who are those you accommodate into your life? Who do you allow to control your marriage life? Who do you discuss your spouse with and what’s their advise to you? This questions shows who you accommodate often and these people speak volume about who and what you’ll become in life.
I’m talking about the company you keep, those you listen to, those you call first when situation arises. Let me say it this way, people you enjoy to be with than your spouse, than your family or trusted friends, these are the people you accommodate. David said he won’t keep company that won’t walk in the counsel of God, nor accommodate the sinners and backbiters, hope these are not your company? Who you accommodate determine the best and the worst of you. King David said, I will rather keep the company of those who delight in the law of the Lord, who meditate on it day and night in order word, those who show forth the flourishness of the Lord, these will I accommodate, these will I walk with. Can you use this as a yard stick in determining who you accommodate around you? Search and see who you allow into your circle then you will know why things are not right. Accommodate the right people always.
God Bless you and Good Morning.

TOPIC: HOW ACCOMMODATING ARE YOU? 4:  As A Boss, Are You Accommodating?

MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 10:41.
“41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall  receive a righteous man’s reward.”

BIBLE READING:
Colossians 4:1.
“1 Masters, give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.”
As a leader, someone in charge, how accommodating are you? Do you lord over your staff and treat them as slaves? Do you shout at them as if they are useless? How often do you care about their well being? Are you concerned about what happen in their homes; How they live and how  they are coping with the present situation in the country? Can your staff reject other offer because of your attitude?
Being a leader simply means building other leaders to be like you. All staff need to be build, until you stop comparing your staff you can’t be accommodating. When you present yourself as someone to be feared you can’t be accommodating and the truth is this, you will also miss a lot from your staff. They are not slaves under you, they are your worker and God is master over you all. When you deny your staff their wages and fairness you prove not to be a leader but a ruler, and God is against it.
This is what a leader should be and not the other way round. Be more accommodating with your staff as this is the Will of God concerning everyone.
God Bless you and Good Morning.

TOPIC: HOW ACCOMMODATING ARE YOU? 3: Be Accessible.

MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 10:41.
“41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall  receive a righteous man’s reward.”

BIBLE READING:
2 Kings 5:1-4
“1 Now Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great and honorable man in the eyes of his master, because by him the LORD had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valor, but a leper.
2 And the Syrians had gone out on raids, and had brought back captive a young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on Naaman’s wife.
3 Then she said to her mistress, “If only my master were with the  prophet who is in Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy.”
4 And Naaman went in and told his master, saying, “Thus and thus said the girl who is from the land of Israel.”
What is your relationship strength with people living/working in your home? Your Gardner, Cook, Maid, Driver and Nanny, how free are they to you? Are you available to them? Do you see them as slaves or helper? Do you care if they live or die serving you? Can they reach out to you for discussion? Get this point today, everyone around you has a contribution to your life and you also have a duty to carry out in their lives. How has it been with your helper?
Naaman was a warrior, a great man and the right hand man to the king Samaria but he was a leper. After many victories over different nations which included Israel, he got a maid for his wife who was an Israelite. But Naaman and his family must have  been accessible to their maids. Who would have said Naaman’s healing could have happened through a maid, a slave from Israel? She went to her mistress and explained to her about Prophet Elisha who could heal Naaman’s leprosy. If they weren’t accessible they wouldn’t have given it a thought, the fear of saying such words would have hindered the little girl and stop the healing but because of the level of freedom the maid enjoyed she could think good of her master’s health. Many around you are to unlock your health, job, business and many other things but your consistent attitude resisted them from speaking. Make yourself accessible and treat your helpers well. Give them room to live like human and not a slave, God rules over us all. Let them have access to you and be available for them. Be more accommodating.
God Bless you and Good Morning.

TOPIC: HOW ACCOMMODATING ARE YOU? 2: Give A Good Meal.

MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 10:41.
“41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall  receive a righteous man’s reward.”

BIBLE READING:
Gen. 18:3-5.
“3 and said, “My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant.
4 Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree.
5 And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, inasmuch as you have come to your servant.”  They said, “Do as you have said.”
Our focus yesterday on Being Accommodating was to give a shelter. Let your home welcome a guest, a stranger not just those who ask but those whom the spirit will be leading you to also. Today we’ll go the extra mile by Giving A Good Meal. What do I mean by “A Good Meal? Many avoid giving a meal to a stranger not to talk of a good meal. When you have a guest, it’s not for long, make him/her comfortable for that moment, you don’t know who he/she might turn out to be. The first thought our mothers will think of is, “the last meal at home is for the children” just like the widow of Zarephath told Elijah, that isn’t how to welcome a stranger. Make him/her a meal, not left over meal, (except if that’s all you have at home) but a delicious meal that will make him/her release the blessings.
Abraham welcome God and the Angels into his house and offered them a good meal. He hastened his wife and servant to make a good meal for them and was served. God and the angels ate to satisfaction while Abraham watch to know their mission. Then, the promise was pronounced. Never treat a stranger with hatred, treat them well. Make them enjoy that little moment because you don’t know who they are neither do you know their mission. Give them a good meal before they take their leave and let God perfect what concerns you.
God Bless you and Good Morning.

MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 10:41.
“41 He who  receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall  receive a righteous man’s reward.”

BIBLE READING:
Gen. 18:1-5.
“1 Then the LORD appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day.
2 So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground,
3 and said, “My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant.
4 Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree.
I understand the world we are in today and what it has become. Helping others seems to be the last thing on the heart of many this days because many have been attacked and robbed by that means, but this shouldn’t change the rules of God. He commanded us to receive others in the name of the Lord. Our blessings most times are attached to our hospitality to others.
God has promised to bless Abraham with a promising child for close to Twenty-three years and still counting. But an opportunity presented itself for Him to reap the promises in the form of hospitality to the Three visitors afar of. If Abraham had failed to welcome the angels do you think he would have activated that promise of God? No. The way we act towards others who needs shelter once in a while can determine the fulfillment of God’s promises over our lives. Abraham activated the promise  (Isaac) when He welcomed the Angels and God into his home. You may need to stop being carried away with negative thoughts when you need to accommodate people, our blessings lies in helping others. Be more accommodative.
God Bless you and Good Morning.

MEMORY VERSE:
Gen. 11:6
“6 And the LORD said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.”
BIBLE READING:
Job 14:14
“14 If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait, Till my change comes.”
To round up our topic on Determination this week, I will say to everyone, “Determine To Live” no matter the situation you are in. Determine to get up on your feet. Determine to be who you’re destined to be in life. Determine to overcome that sickness you are going through because your faith determines what happens to you. Determine to make that marriage work, to make that idea real regardless of the obstacles. Determine to live come what may. Be the Job of this generation who stood his ground alone till the end. What you don’t determine to do is what will never be done.
Job said, regardless of being neglected by my friends and wife, “I will wait till my change come”, your waiting determines the changes. No one encouraged Job, he was all alone but he knows that His redeemer lives and will redeem him and that was  what happened. Until you are determine to live the strength won’t be available, the encouragement won’t come, the way will remain blocked, so, your determination is the key to your living. Pick it up, use it and you will live again. Be determine to live by all means.
God Bless you and Good Morning.

TOPIC: WHAT DETERMINATION DOES 6: Determine To Be Good

MEMORY VERSE:
Gen. 11:6
“6 And the LORD said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Sam. 24:4-7
4 Then the men of David said to him, “This is the  day of which the LORD said to you, ‘Behold, I will  deliver your enemy into your hand, that you may  do to him as it seems good to you.’ ” And David  arose and secretly cut off a corner of Saul’s robe.
5 Now it happened afterward that David’s heart troubled him because he had cut Saul’s robe.
6 And he said to his men, “The LORD forbid that I should do this thing to my master, the LORD’s  anointed, to stretch out my hand against him,  seeing he is the anointed of the LORD.”
7 So David restrained his servants with these words, and did not allow them to rise against Saul. And Saul got up from the cave and went on his way.”
To be Good or Bad is determination. Paying evil for evil is determination and rewarding others with Good deed is also determination. Who are you and what have you determined to do? Paying evil for evil doesn’t make the world a better place. Some go to the extent of destroying others in order to get to the top in life, there is always the Law of Nature, it always pays back when you can’t reject it. It’s determination not to revenge, it’s a choice. To show kindness is also a result of self determination and your determination defines you better than the words of your mouth.
King David to be, had a whole King and his host against him, both in the city and in the wilderness. He was been pursued whenever his where about was discovered. An opportunity came for him to revenge and do away with King Saul, a time to pay him back his coin, but David determined not to lay His hand on the Anointed of God, Huunnnn, that is unique. If I may ask you at the other side, “What will be your action in that situation? If the king was killed, automatically, David becomes the King, but David saw it the other way round. He determined not to fight for Himself, He cut an edge of the robe of the king as an evidence. You don’t need to revenge before you make your point known. All you need do is to determined not to pay evil for evil. Determine to be good. Drop those ideas of “Repaying them in their coin” you are not God. Determine to do good come what may. David had the throne on a platter of gold, with the whole twelve tribes installing Him as the King. Determine to be good to your boss, your spouse, your coworkers, your landlord and your tenants. God rewards every determination. Let your determination be right.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
