TOPIC: JOY OF THE LORD 4: Fullness of Joy

Memory Verse: Neh. 8:10.
… For The Joy Of The Lord Is Your Strength.”

Bible Reading: Ps. 16:11.
“11 You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
Joy is in levels for believers who enjoyed it. Joy can be reduced and be increased. Joy is like water flowing from the sources. When the flow is disconnected or stops, joy can dry up but when the source is in tact, joy keeps flowing. How consistent we are to the source, the greater the flow of Joy. That is one of the reasons why the Bible encourages us not to forsake the gathering of the brethren.
Increase of Joy can be achieve by consistent fellowship with God. Being in His presence daily (individually and collectively) is the source to fullness of Joy. The more we appear before Him the more His joy increases in us. Each day have influence on our Joy, either to increase or reduce it, but in His presence, Joy is automatically increase through His word, His Praises and Adoring Him. To experience new level of Joy, always enter His presence, through quiet time and fellowship with the brethren. God’s intention is to release fullness of Joy on all believers, be available for it. I pray for someone today, your Joy shall be full in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
Good Morning.

TOPIC: JOY OF THE LORD 3: Joy Is For Believers

Memory Verse: Neh. 8:10.
… For The Joy Of The Lord Is Your Strength.”

Bible Reading: Gal. 6:22-23
“22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, JOY, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”
Everyone professing to be Christians are not believer, but all believer are Christian. The church is filled up with crowd but many are just Christian by name not believers. Believing in the personality of God and His Son is what releases the power to become the son of God, John 1:12, and as many as received power has the Holy Spirit deposited in them, Act 1:8, Holy Spirit comes before power. Through this Holy Spirit, which differenciate Christians and believers, he gave the fruit of the Spirit – Joy. So therefore, when you have the Holy Spirit you got Joy as the fruit. Don’t be carried away that, every Christian has Joy, No, only believers of Jesus Christ who has the Holy Spirit has Joy.
David said,
“11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.”
The absence of the Holy Spirit is the absence of Joy. Do you have the Holy Spirit within? That is the source of your joy. May the Spirit come upon you today in Jesus Mighty name, Receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Good Morning.

TOPIC: JOY OF THE LORD 2: Joy Of God Gives Strength.

Memory Verse: Neh. 8:10.
… For The Joy Of The Lord Is Your Strength.”

Bible Reading: Neh. 8:10.
“10 … FOR THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH.”
The Joy of the Lord gives strength to those who has it, Hallelujah. The Joy of the Lord is the source of strength, enablement and empowerment to those who have Joy. You can be a Christian and lack the joy of the Lord. Singing, jumping and dancing is not the evidence of the Joy that brings strength. But your action to the events happening around you. How you react to situations which are not palatable. How you handle situations which seems so hard, these are the proofs of the strength that comes from the Joy of the Lord. When your faith is tried, the strength sustains you. People sees you and wonders if you really faced such situation, this is the strength from within, the Joy of The Lord.
When you keep singing, “It Is Well With My Soul”, “My Faith is built on nothing less, than Jesus blood and righteousness” in the mist of opposition and challenges, that’s the strength that comes from the Joy of The Lord. The Joy of the Lord gives strength that sustains even when one feels drained and weak. In time of lack, needs and want, the strength makes you joyful for you know that God is aware. That strength derived from the Joy of the Lord shall be made manifest in your life this year, you shall grow in the strength of the Lord from today on, in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC: JOY OF THE LORD 1: Joy is Of God.

Memory Verse: Neh. 8:10.
“10 … Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Bible Reading: Ps. 16:11
“11 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
Happy New Week to everyone. Our focus this week will be “THE JOY OF THE LORD.” Today’s Topic says, Joy Is Of The Lord. Yes, Joy is of God and not of Man. What every man can produce is happiness and not Joy. Many time we equate the feelings of accomplishment to the Joy of the Lord which are two different instances. The Joy of the Lord is not attached to a particular achievement, it’s not substance oriented, we have it because we have God within us. This is the reason why many still move on in the face of trials as if nothing was lost. It’s the reason why situations doesn’t have a hold on some Christians. The Lord is the giver of joy. That accomplishment is for a while and may soon expire, you will in turn desire more successes after it because, it has an outdated date, but the Joy of the Lord is every lasting and can only be gotten by God. Wealth, riches, position, title, fame and power can’t give you the Joy of the Lord. They can only give you happiness. Don’t misquote me, Happiness is part of what God has predestined for us but not as important as the Joy of God itself. This is the root of it all, without God there can’t be Joy. The Joy of the Lord brings contentment which happiness can’t produce. We need the two but one more than the other. This week, you will experience the Joy of the Lord.
Nehemiah was speaking to the people of God, saying, “The Joy of The Lord …”, not the happiness of a moment, meaning, the source of their Joy should be from the Lord and not from the occurrence. May the Joy of the Lord fill our heart in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
Good Morning.

Day 5
Topic: Worship Him.
Text: 1 kings 3:410
There are times you need to present sacrifices to God as if there’s no fear in you. In the face of that trials, find time to sacrifice tangible things to God, in form of Praise, Worship, Giving to God, ascribing all adoration to Him, it’s a form of faith and CV presentation. You don’t need to let others see your fears, give it to God in worship. Solomon was disturbed with wisdom to guide the Israelite but never revealed it until he presented his CV to God.

Bless others with what they lack and your possession. Being an answer to other’s prayer is a CV presentation to God. When others are in need and you can afford it, release it, give to many as you can.as you’re led. Sow to the right place. Meet the needs of your colleagues, friends, family and Men of God, it’s a CV to God.

I pray with you this day, Your CV will release your blessings. From Today on, you shall update your CV with good qualities that will motivate God to hear your request in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC: PRESENT YOUR CV 6: Be Sacrificial

Memory Verse: Isa. 41:21
“Present your case,” says the LORD. “Bring forth your strong reasons,” says the King of Jacob.”

Bible Reading: 2 Kings 4:8-11
“8 Now it happened one day that Elisha went to Shunem, where there was a notable woman, and she persuaded him to eat some food. So it  was, as often as he passed by, he would turn in there to eat some food.
9 And she said to her husband, “Look now, I know that this is a holy man of God, who passes by us regularly.
10 Please, let us make a small upper room on the wall; and let us put a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; so it will be, whenever he comes to us, he can turn in there.”
11 And it happened one day that he came there, and he turned in to the upper room and lay down there.
How sacrificial are you? How often do you bless people without them requesting? When you see others with needs, do you mock them or attend to them? Your sacrificial life is a form of CV to God. When you find it difficult to sacrifice, it will be difficult for your CV to be attended to. Remember Abraham, His sacrifice brought Isaac.
The shunemite woman’s sacrifice was the needed CV for God to attend to her issue. Elisha never asked for food, neither did he asked for accommodation from her, she only presented her CV to God through Elisha and God accepted and sent her desire without she requesting. I pray for someone today, your sacrificial life will open those closed doors in Jesus Mighty name, Amen. Be ready to sacrifice this month, meet others needs without them requesting, it’s a form of presenting your CV to God.
Good Morning.

TOPIC: PRESENT YOUR CV 5: Worship Him First

Memory Verse: Isa. 41:21
“Present your case,” says the LORD. “Bring forth your strong reasons,” says the King of Jacob.”

Bible Reading: 1Kings 3:4-5, 9-10.
“4 Now the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place: Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar.  5 At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a  dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I  give you?” ….
9 Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”
10 The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.
Our approach to God matters when presenting our CV to Him. How we behave and deliver our request goes a long way in determining our result. The third Captain and His Fifty men, in the book of Kings, presented his request differently to Prophet Elijah and his presentation rescued their lives and cause God to speak to Elijah to go the King. How have you been presenting your CV to God?
King Solomon needed to make some request from God after He was sworn in as the King of Israel. He would have visited the temple like his father and present His request, but the scripture said, he went to the great High place in Gibeon to sacrifice thousands burnt offering, still, he never presented any request. This CV invited God to visit him in the dream and asked what He wanted. How do you present your CV to God? With complain, grumbling or blaming Him for all your life mistakes?
“4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,  And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. Ps. 100:4.
Present your CV with thanksgiving no matter the situation around. He preferred to be Praise than to be grumbled at. Present your CV rightly with Praise.

TOPIC: PRESENT YOUR CV 4: Recount Your Testimony

Memory Verse: Isa. 41:21
“Present your case,” says the LORD. “Bring forth your strong reasons,” says the King of Jacob.”

Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 17:32-36
“32 Then David said to Saul, “Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will  go and fight with this Philistine.”
33 And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his  youth.”
34 But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock,
35 I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it.
36 Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.”
Many times when we failure or  discouragement sets in, it’s not because we can’t handle the present situation but as a result of not recounting our past testimony. We start and stop because we failed to remember what God has done in the past in our lives. Many situation presenting them selves as bigger, taller and wider but in actual fact, they are not as strong as what we’ve overcame in the past. Remember where you are coming from.
David presented to King Saul his past testimony when He was in doubt of his ability to face Goliath. How he defeated a lion and a bear which attacked the sheep under his care. He convinced King Saul of defeating Goliath and it was so. Sometimes, we need to convince ourselves and others of how the Lord will gave us victory not minding the size of the present situation.
“37 Moreover David Said, “the Lord, Who Delivered Me From The Paw Of The Lion And From The Paw Of The Bear, He Will Deliver Me From The Hand Of This Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the LORD be  with you!””
David declare that, the same God who gave him victory over the lion and the bear, will surely give him victory over Goliath. What can you testify as your past victory? What are your proofs that the Lord is on your side? Search out those testimonies, let them encourage you. Turn to God and say, “Father, You’ve Done It In Time Past, You Will Do It Again.” Your testimony is your CV to overcome that present Goliath.

TOPIC: PRESENT YOUR CV 3: What Can God See In You?

Memory Verse: Isa 41:21
“Present your case,” says the LORD. “Bring forth your strong reasons,” says the King of Jacob.”

Bible Reading: Ps. 89:20-21
“20 I have found MY SERVANT DAVID; With My holy oil I have anointed him,
21 With whom My hand shall be established; Also My arm shall strengthen him.
Your CV can speak for you without you presenting it. What you do in your closet is your CV being presented to God. God is Omnipresent, He sees everywhere without calling His attention. David was a Shepherd boy in the bush serving his father by taking care of the sheep. He protected the animals in his care. He led them to the right place at the right time. God saw his services in the secret and called him “My Servant” while he was still serving his father by taking care of his sheep.
Ps. 78:70-72
“70 He also chose David His servant,  And took him from the sheepfolds;
71 From following the ewes that had young He brought him, To shepherd Jacob His people, And Israel His inheritance.
72 So he shepherded them according to the  integrity of his heart,  And guided them by the skillfulness of his  hands.
Can your services in your place of work attract God’s attention? Can God behold your care and assign you a position close to His heart? How do you carry out your assigned duty, faithfully or anyhow? God saw David’s CV and appointed him to be a king to His people and as a replacement of King Saul. What you do in your secret is ” Documenting your resume before God”. Be faithful in what you do.
Good Morning.
