TOPIC: GRACE IS ATTRACTED: BY PLEASING GOD

Memory Verse: Romans 16:24.
“24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, Amen.”

Bible Reading: Gen. 6:8-10
“8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.  Noah Pleases God 9 This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. 10 And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.”
The Grace of God is one important gift needed by all. Every achievement in life is traceable to God’s Grace. The reason why two persons succeeded in the same business amidst twenty persons is God’s Grace. What differentiate us from one another is Grace. Also, Grace is in levels and in sizes. The Grace of God over a church is not by crowd nor by wealth but by God’s faithfulness. This week, I want you to know that, Grace of God can be attracted in to your life. You can bring God’s Grace upon your self.
Noah, in a corrupted world, found the Grace of God. He attracted God’s Grace through pleasing God with a righteous life. We were made to know that, God was about destroying the whole world He created, Gen. 6:5-7. Despite the  corruption, Noah chooses to do God’s will. He was a just man, perfect in his generation and He walked with God, these attributes attracted God’s grace upon his life. When God concluded to destroy everything He made, those attribute attracted God’s Grace and He was excluded.
God doesn’t waste His Grace. It’s meant for everybody but not everybody can have it. What, in you life, can attract His Grace? Do you have something that can attract God’s Grace into your life? How righteous are you? Do you walk alone or you walk with God? Who do you please, yourself, others or God first? Noah never prayed for grace but he attracted it. Start attracting God’s Grace with something in your life.
Happy Father’s Day to all our Fathers and Fathers in the making. Every virtue to be the father God ordained us to be will be release in us in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: YOU ARE REPLACEABLE 7:
Unproductive Attract Replacement.

Memory Verse: 1 Kings 19:18
“18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not  bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not  kissed him.”

Bible Reading: Math. 3:7-10
7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and  Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them,  “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance,
9 and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have  Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
10 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
Inactive for God is one of the reasons why God can replace someone. Not doing what God has assigned you makes you replaceable. You may be filled with the anointing but using it wrongly. Your talent may be the best but when you misuse it, you are prepared to be replaced. Refusing to do His will is an invitation to God’s replacement. God is never happy replacing his children or reassigning the same duty to a different person. How responsible are you with the duty He has assigned you?
John the Baptist was speaking to the Pharisees and the Sadducees that, they are all replaceable by God. Being the children of Abraham doesn’t mean they can’t be replace. He said God can raise the stones to become the children of Abraham. When you are not productive, God is ready to cut you off and assigned someone else to take your place. John The Baptist said, the Axe is place at the root of the tree to be cut off for not productive. Hope you are not one of them? Hope you are functioning at your duty place? The Lord might have been merciful but He is also a terrible God. He can replace any one at any time, I pray we will not be among those He will replace in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Lord Jesus, I don’t want to be replace from my duty place, I want you to help me complete the mission you gave to me here on earth. Help me locate the assignment  fully in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

GREED CAUSES REPLACEMENT

Memory Verse: 1 Kings 19:18
“18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not  bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not  kissed him.”

Bible Reading: Math. 26:14-16, Acts 1:20-26,
14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests
15 and said, “What are  you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.
16 So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.”

Acts 1:20-26,
“20 “For it is written in the Book of Psalms: ‘Let his dwelling place be desolate, And let no one live in it’; and, ‘Let e another take his office.’
21 “Therefore, of these men who have  accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus  went in and out among us,
22 beginning from  the baptism of John to that day when He was taken up from us, one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.”
23 And they proposed two: Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
24 And they prayed and said, “You, O Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which of these two You have chosen
25 to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own  place.” 26 And they cast their lots, and the lot fell on Matthias. And he was numbered with the eleven apostles.”
Many Christians have been sacked and replaced with their subordinates all because of greed. Greed has led many to early grave leaving their positions for someone else. Seeking for what does not rightfully belongs to you and taking it by force is deadly. Greed has turn many to ritualist, some has involved themselves in dirty deals which made their spouse and family get a replacement of them even while alive.
Judas was one of the twelve disciples of Jesus. Greed led him to betray Jesus Christ, His master and the saviour of the world and after his death, a replacement for him was searched out by the disciples, I pray for someone today, that spirit of greed will not cause your replace, but the spirit will be replace with endurance in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
What you seek after greedily, God can give to you honourably. Judas ends his life without spending the thirty pieces of silver he betrayed Jesus with. Greed has never lifted any one up permanently, it only lifts one up for his/her replacement. May we not be replace from our active services In Jesus Might Name, Amen.
Father help me with the spirit of endurance in all situation of my life In Jesus Mighty Name I pray, Amen.

FEAR CAUSES REPLACEMENT

Memory Verse: 1 Kings 19:18
“18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not  bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not  kissed him.”

Bible Reading: 1 Kings 13:1-3,14-17
“1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done,  also how he had executed all the prophets with  the sword. 2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So let the gods do to me, and  more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.” 3 And when he saw that, he arose and ran for his life, and went to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.”
“14 And he said, “I have been very zealous for the  LORD God of hosts; because the children of  Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down  Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the  sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my  life.” 15 Then the LORD said to him: “Go, return on your way to the Wilderness of Damascus; and when you arrive, anoint Hazael as king over Syria. 16 Also you shall anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi as king over Israel. And Elisha the son of  Shaphat of Abel Meholah you shall anoint as  prophet in your place. 17 It shall be that whoever escapes the sword of Hazael, Jehu will kill; and whoever escapes the sword of Jehu, Elisha will kill.”
Fear is another weapon that can cause the replacement of a man. Many are unable to separate being careful from being fearful. To be careful is to be sensitive and watchful but to be fearful is to conclude and accept defeat.
Prophet Elijah is a man of fire, 2 Kings 1:1-12. He is the man who executed 850 prophet of Baal and asherah, 1 Kings 18:40. He is a prayer machine, 1 Kings 18:41-44. He speaks to kings without fear, but the same Elijah was replaced all because of fear of Jezebel. He ran away and left his servants behind, what an irony? Can Jezebel be so strong to resist the fire of God? Can she be that powerful to resist his prayers? No, but He was afraid to face her and he ran away.
God met him and he was complaining of all the occurrences. God never listen to his comments. He command him to get three replacement for himself. He was so powerfully endowed that one person couldn’t contain his power. From him alone two kings were anointed and prophet Elisha. May we not be afraid to the extent of being replaced in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. That spirit of fear in us that stop us from following God’s leading is cast out in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
It was Elijah’s fear for Jezebel that produces Elisha, Jehu and Hazael as his replacement. What are those fear that you’ve set above God? Stop seeing fear and start seeing God in that situation.
1 Tim. 2:7
“7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

PRIDE BRINGS REPLACEMENT

Memory Verse: 1 Kings 19:18
“18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not  bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not  kissed him.”

Bible Reading: Esther 1:10-12, 19, 2:16-17
“10 On the seventh day, when the heart of the  king was merry with wine, he commanded  Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, seven eunuchs who served  in the presence of King Ahasuerus,
11 to bring  Queen Vashti before the king, wearing her royal crown, in order to show her beauty to the people and the officials, for she was beautiful to behold.
12 But Queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s command brought by his eunuchs; therefore the king was furious, and his anger burned within him.”
“19 If it pleases the king, let a royal decree go out from him, and let it be  recorded in the laws of the Persians and the  Medes, so that it will not be altered, that Vashti  shall come no more before King Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal position to another  who is better than she.”
“16 So Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus, into his royal palace, in the  tenth month, which is the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
17 The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she  obtained grace and favor in his sight more than  all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her  head and made her queen instead of Vashti.”
Prov. 29:23,
“23 A man’s pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.”
Prov. 16:18,
“18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.”
James 4:6,
“6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
The fastest way to being replace is pride. The easiest way for God to do away with anyone is through pride. He resist, meaning, God avoid, reject, refuse the proud around Him. What is pride? It’s seeing yourself higher, better and greater than others whom you were once equal or who helped you up. It’s overrating yourself compare to others when you’re not what you claim yet. Using your temporary position against others. It’s a way to become an enemy of God.
Vashti became a Queen because she was married to the King but she felt she has been made, she’s now the Queen and can make her decisions on her own. She rejected the command of the King which was as a result of Pride. She failed to realised that, the one who made her a Queen can also replace her with a slave. She was under the control of the title, “Queen” and the same title was removed and placed on Esther as her replacement.
Humility, on the other hand, is a way to replace the proud. “He gives grace to the humble.” Are you influenced by your position wealth, age,  wisdom or property? Listen, your replacement is already prepared waiting for the day of ordination. Remember God can’t create who He can’t replace. You talk to anyone anyhow, watch out, that person might even be your replacement.
My Father and My God, subdue the spirit of pride and enable the spirit of humility in me, In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: YOU ARE REPLACEABLE:
STOP THAT ENVY

Memory Verse: 1 Kings 19:18
“18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not  bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not  kissed him.”

Bible Reading: 1 Sam. 18:7-11
“7 So the women sang as they danced, and said:  “Saul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands.” 8 Then Saul was very angry, and the saying  displeased him; and he said, “They have ascribed to David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed only thousands. Now what more can he have but the kingdom?” 9 So Saul eyed David from that day forward. 10 And it happened on the next day that the distressing spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied inside the house. So David played  music with his hand, as at other times; but there was a spear in Saul’s hand. 11 And Saul cast the spear, for he said, “I will pin David to the  wall!” But David escaped his presence twice.”
A King and a mighty man was envious of a young shepherd. Envy is simply despising someone for what he has and you lack. “How can he be credited with killing ten thousands Philistines and a thousand was credited to me?” That was the beginning of his envy against David. King Saul was so covered with envy to the extent of leaven the throne behind and pursuing after a small boy, David. Envy pushed him to the extent of disobeying God and falling out of favour with  God, I pray with you today, envy with not take your focus away from God, it won’t cause your replacement in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
Many will always have what you lack or have more than you, always remember, there are things you have that they also lack. You can admire what others have but please, don’t envy them. David would have killed King Saul twice but the fear of God wouldn’t allowed him do that. He would have envied throne of Saul and killed him, but he didn’t. Those people you envied will always replace you if care is not taking. Stop envying your subordinate,  your superior, your spouse or your colleagues. God never heard it in mind to make David replaced Jonathan, King Saul made it happen.
Holy Spirit of God, help me overcome the spirit of envy in my life. Help me appreciate what you’ve blessed me with above what others have in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

CONTROL YOUR ANGER

Memory Verse: 1 Kings 19:18
Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

Bible Reading: Num. 20:7-12, Deut. 1:37-38
“7 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
8 “Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water; thus you shall bring water for them out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their animals.”
9 So Moses took the rod from before the LORD as He commanded him.
10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly  together before the rock; and he said to them,  “Hear now, you rebels! Must we bring water for  you out of this rock?”
11 Then Moses lifted his  hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and  water came out abundantly, and the  congregation and their animals drank.
12 Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron,  “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”
Deut. 1:37-38
“37 The LORD was also angry with me for your  sakes, saying, ‘Even you shall not go in there.
38 Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, he shall go in there. Encourage him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.”
As a leader, you need to be able to accept people as they are. You need to always close your eye to some attitude from your follower. Likewise, as Christians, we need to work on our anger. People can make us angry to the extent of offending God and this can make God replace us with someone better, younger and more accepted than we do, may we not get into anger that will destroy us in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
The most humble man on earth, who has been pleading on behalf of the Israelite many times made a mistake angrily and this led to the end of his journey with God and a replacement was made for him, what a mistake? He took these people out of Egypt, led them through the wilderness, crossed many challenges but  because of anger, God ended his journey. Father, help me not to make a costly mistake with anger in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
How do you handle your anger? Does it have power over you or you do control it? With anger Moses forgot the instructions of God and struck the rock twice instead of speaking to the rock. Work on your anger. Control it before it cause your replacement.
Oh Lord, help me put my anger under control on a daily bases, I need your Spirit to help me out   always, in Jesus Mighty Name I pray, Amen.

TOPIC: YOU ARE REPLACEABLE: Train Your Child

Memory Verse: 1 Kings 19:18
Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 2:27-35
27 Then a man of God came to Eli and said to  him, “Thus says the LORD: ‘Did I not clearly  reveal Myself to the house of your father when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house? 28 Did I not choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be My priest, to offer upon My altar, to burn  incense, and to wear an ephod before Me? And  did I not give to the house of your father all the offerings of the children of Israel made by fire? 29 Why do you kick at My sacrifice and My offering which I have commanded in My  dwelling place, and honor your sons more than Me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel My people?’ 30 Therefore  the LORD God of Israel says: ‘I said indeed that  your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.’ But now the LORD says: ‘Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly  esteemed. 31 Behold, the days are coming that I  will cut off your arm and the arm of your father’s  house, so that there will not be an old man in  your house. 32 And you will see an enemy in My dwelling place, despite all the good which God does for Israel. And there shall not be an old man in your house forever. 33 But any of your men whom I do not cut off from My altar shall  consume your eyes and grieve your heart. And all the descendants of your house shall die in the flower of their age. 34 Now this shall be a sign to you that will come upon your two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas: in one day they shall die, both of them. 35 Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind. I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My anointed forever.
It is a bad thing to perform below the expectation of God. God is merciful but His mercies can expire if taken for granted. God hasn’t created who he can’t replace and no one is indispensable to God. God can change anything at any time. That you are in favour with God today doesn’t mean you can’t be replaced. Every body has a time frame to function for God but you can choose to be expired before your time, I pray with everyone reading this devotional today, myself inclusive, we will not expire before completing our mission on Earth in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Before God replaced Eli household as a priest, He gave him information about his children behaviours. God warned him before the destruction and the replacement. When God was tired of showing him mercy He replaced him with Samuel, a young boy for that matter,
1 Sam. 3:19-21,
“19 So Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him  and let none of his words fall to the ground. 20  And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba knew that  Samuel had been established as a prophet of the LORD.
Why was He replaced? God said, He honour his children more than Him, 1 Sam. 2:29, are you ready to be replaced because of your children’s behaviour? Hope you know God is also interested in the future of those children as He is interested in yours? How are you handling the upbringing of your children? Will you be replaced by God or your children will take over from you?
Father, give me the grace for parenting, I don’t want to be replaced by you, I want my children to take over from me, so help me Lord, Amen.

TOPIC: OH LORD, SAVE OUR LAND

Memory Verse: Ps. 120:7
“7 I am for peace; But when I speak, they are for war.”

Bible Reading: Ps 120:6-7
“6 My soul has dwelt too long With one who hates peace. 7 I am for peace; But when I speak, they are for war.”
WE NEED PEACE NOT WAR OH LORD
Dear Nigerian and Nigerian Christians, the peace of the nation determine the peace of the Gospel in the nation. Our God loves peace despite His accolades, as, The Man of War, The Invisible warrior who has never lost a battle, still, He desire peace to reign wherever His name is mentioned. King David said in Psalms 122:6-9,
“6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you.
7 Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces.”
8 For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, “Peace be within you.”
9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek your good.”
I will like us to raise our voices today, being the 12th Day of June, a memorable day in the history of this Nation, and decree peace on the walls of this nation, Ps. 122:7.
God, in His power should rule over this nation, 2 Chronic. 20:6
He will touch the heart of the leaders of this nation and turn it to Himself, Pro. 21:1.
He will frustrate every negative plans against this nation, Job 5:12-14.
Let God arise and let the enemies of this Great Nation be scattered, Ps. 68:1.
Every forms of blood shed should seize in Jesus Mighty Name,
Job 22:26-29,
“27 You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you, And you will pay your vows. 28 You will also declare a thing,  And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways. 29 When they cast you down, and you say, ‘Exaltation will come! ’  Then He will save the humble person.”
Let us make the decrees and not just complain.
Numb. 14:28,
“28 Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the LORD, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you:”
Lord Jesus, grant our desires over Nigeria, in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: TAKING THE RIGHT STEP

Memory Verse: Ps. 37:23
“23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way.”

Bible Reading: Gen. 39:7-10
“7 And it came to pass after these things that his master’s wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, and she said, “Lie with me.” 8 But he refused and said to his master’s wife,  “Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand. 9 There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything  from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin  against God?” 10 So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day,  that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her.”
THROUGH FAITHFULNESS TO GOD
One of the most scacres virtue in Christiandom is Faithfulness. Faithfulness to the man you can see is what defines your faithfulness to God (whom you cannot see). When it comes to money issues, faithfulness is very rare amongst all. When we talk about extramarital affair, It’s no more a sin to many. Even some ministers of the gospel indulge in extramarital affairs. Faithfulness to your superiors in Christianity and work place, In marriage and in families, it has become a forgoten issue.
Joseph’s faithfulness to God and his master was a prove of great virtue in him. He took the right step when needed, though it landed him in the prison but it later earned him the throne. How many christians can be so faithful in such situation?
Mary, the mother of Jesus, her faithfulness was what brought Jesus to this world. She kept her virginity intact. For four hundred years, between Malachi and Matthew, a faithful and virgin lady wasn’t found until Mary’s faithfulness came to place. Joseph, her husband to be, was also a faithful man,
He harkened to the voice of God to accept Mary and he took the right step by not touching her for good nine months.
Can your faithfulness be tested? We’ve been praying, fasting, keeping night prayers, asking and putting our hands to work but faithfulness is lacking.
Luke 16:10, He who is  faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.”
Father, help my unfaithfulness. Give me the grace to take the right step of faithfulness in all you’ve handed over to me, In Jesus Mighty Name have I prayed, Amen.
