TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: Gen. 26:7-11.
7 And the men of the  place asked about his wife. And he said, “She is  my sister”; for he was afraid to say, “She is my  wife,” because he thought, “lest the men of the place kill me for Rebekah, because she is  beautiful to behold.” 8 Now it came to pass,  when he had been there a long time, that  Abimelech king of the Philistines looked through a window, and saw, and there was Isaac, showing endearment to Rebekah his wife. 9 Then Abimelech called Isaac and said, “Quite obviously she is your wife; so how could you  say, ‘She is my sister’?”  Isaac said to him, “Because I said, ‘Lest I die on account of her.’”  10 And Abimelech said, “What is this you have  done to us? One of the people might soon have  lain with your wife, and you would have brought  guilt on us.” 11 So Abimelech charged all his people, saying, “He who touches this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.”
PROTECTION IS GUARANTEE
When instructions are given by our instructor, and diligent obedience follows, we experience full coverage of the Almighty. When He leads and you follow Him, He watches over you constantly. He is the God that favour those who obey and abides with Him. Losses are not allowed when He is leading because He will guide you althrough.
Isaac, following the instructor’s instruction called his wife his sister, still, the protection of God saved his wife. The king made a decree, after knowing her as Isaac’s wife, that who soever touches Isaac and his family will be put to death, that is, God in action for those who follow his instructions.
When He led the israelite out of Egypt He protected them as long as they follow His instructions. When He is leading and you are following him diligently, you are under his protection. The small prophet deviated from God’s instructions and the coverage over him left, may we not depart from God’s protection in Jesus Mighty Name, amen. Stay within His instructions and you will be protected.
Father, help me abide under your instructions in order to benefit your protection fully in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: Gen. 26:1-6
“1 There was a famine in the land, besides the first  famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar. 2 Then the LORD appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. 3  Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. 4 And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; 5 because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.” 6 So Isaac dwelt in Gerar.”
HE WILL BE WITH YOU
For every success achieved in life, instructions are cogent. Nothing works without good instructions. What makes an Instruction good and work perfectly rest upon the credibility of the instructor. The instructor determine the assurance of the instruction. When your  instructor is reliable and you obey him, you are sure that He will always be with you all the way. Every path through his instruction, he will guide you. This is the privilege we have in our God, the greatest instructor. When He gives you an instruction and you follow through, He will always stand by you. When you refuse His instruction, He will stay afar watching you till you are done and return to Him.
This instructor, Our God, gave Isaac instruction not to leave for Egypt, but stay in the land where there was famine, (Gerar), because of God’s credibility with his father, Abraham, He harkened and stayed in the land. God told Him, in verses 3, “I will be with you and bless you”.
As long as you are obeying God’s instructions, He is with you always. He will never leave nor forsake you. It doesn’t matter the situation you found yourself after following His instructions, He is still with you. You might be asking God questions, “Didn’t you sent me here?” “Didn’t you lead me into this marriage?” “You told me to come into this city, why all this crisis?” His responses is still the same, keep following His instructions because He is there with you. Do not fret or quit. Don’t give in or change your mind, He said, I will be with you.
Mighty and Everlasting Father, I choose to believe you and that you’re  here with me regardless of all am going through this season which is according to your instructions to me. Oh Lord, lead me through and help me stand till your purpose will be fulfilled in my life. Thank You prayer answering God, in Jesus Mighty Name have I prayed, Amen.

TOPIC: LET’S  INTERCEDE

Memory Verse: 1 Tim. 2:1
“1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications,  prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.”

Bible Reading: Acts 12:1-5
“1 Now about that time Herod the king stretched  out his hand to harass some from the church. 2  Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. 3 And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter  also. Now it was during the Days of Unleavened  Bread. 4 So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered  him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him  before the people after Passover. 5 Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.”
INTERCEDE FOR THE CHALLENGED
The truth of the matter is, everyone has a challenge they are faced with presently. No one is without a need, but our needs are more weightier than others. Our challenges are in levels compare to someone else. Life itself is challenging, so, on a daily bases, we have some things to handle. Nevertheless, we can still intercede for others who are faced with more difficult challenges. We can stand in gap for those face with situation we ourselves can’t handle, and through our intercession their situation may receive the touch of God.
Apostle Peter, a servant of God, faced one of the biggest challenge in his ministry days. He was faced with death life and direct. A nights was separating him from death. At that point in time Apostle Peter couldn’t pray any longer, the scripture said, “He was sleeping” (vs 6). He has given up. But the church never gave up. The intercessors never gave up. They interceded on his behalf. They cried to God for his safety, and God send His angel to deliver him.
Prison was the challenge of Apostle Peter, that person’s challenge might be joblessness, childlessness, lack of a partner, sickness or disease. Some might be faced with helplessness, sleeplessness, poverty, and many other circumstances, don’t just look at them or mock them, intercede for them. Cry to God on their behalf. They don’t need to know you are interceding for them just do it wholeheartedly and secretly, when the result come you will be happier than they do.
Note this, the church had their individual challenges also but they understood how small their challenges were compare to that of Apostle Peter. Am not saying you don’t need someone to intercede for you but try and intercede for someone in need of it than you, and the Lord will raise others to intercede for you also.
Heavenly Father, we intercede on behalf of the waiting mothers, jobless, orphans, widows, fatherless and motherless, the needy and the poor, the sick, the less privileges, the outcast and the downcast, the debtors, the singles ready for marriage, the prisoners, we pray you visit them with their individual Miracles In Jesus Mighty Name, that you will turn their calamities around and make them smile again, you will prove to their enemies that you are God worthy to be served in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: LET’S  INTERCEDE

Memory Verse: 1 Tim. 2:1
“1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications,  prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.”

Bible Reading: 1 Tim. 2:1-2
“1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”
INTERCEDE FOR OUR LEADERS
Leadership is ordained by God. It’s a mantle of responsibility which can’t be achieved without the help of God. Leaders are meant to carryout the plan of God over their subjects. They have the authority to do whatever they desire at any point in time. Still, leaders are human. They have advisers who can miss lead or guide them aright. They all need our intercession daily.
Apostle Paul said, we need to intercede for them in order to live a peaceful live. King Solomon said,
“1 The king’s heart  is in the hand of the LORD,  Like the rivers of water;  He turns it wherever He wishes.” Prov.21:1
This can only happen through intercession. The Lord will not just turn the heart of leaders without intersession. We need to intercede for them to work in our favour, to carry out the plans of God and not of their own desire
Nigeria leaders needs intercession. We need to intercede in our individual homes and not lay curses on them. We need to hand them over to God to turn their heart the way He, God, wants.
Father, we handover our leaders to you. You know about their reigns. You knew how they become and what they are doing. We intercede for every leader in Nigeria, that you will touch their heart, turn their heart to you and change their desires to be in line with your own  desire, in Jesus Mighty Name we pray, Amen.

TOPIC: LET’S  INTERCEDE

Memory Verse: 1 Tim. 2:1
“1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.”

Bible Reading: Exo. 32:9-14
“9 And the LORD said to Moses, “I have  seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked  people! 10 Now therefore, let Me alone, that My  wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.”  11 Then Moses pleaded with the LORD his God, and said: “LORD, why does Your wrath burn hot against Your people whom You have brought out  of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? 12 Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, ‘He brought them out to harm them, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn  from Your fierce wrath, and relent from this harm to Your people. 13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Your own self, and said to them, ‘I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven; and all this land that I have spoken of I give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’ ” 14 So the LORD relented from the harm which He said He would do to His people.”
INTERCEDE FOR YOUR FOLLOWERS
Many leaders this days hardly intercede for their followers. Most leaders only focuses on how their children will enjoy and continue with their successes. Leader of our days never desire their followers to take their place but to work for them and leave. When leaders intercede for their followers God is always happy to grant their request. Leaders with the heart of God seek for the progress of their followers.
Moses was given an open lifetime cheque to benefit all the promises of Israel, but as a leader, He turned it down and interceded for the children of Israel. He reminded God of all His miracle and protection towards the children of Israel. He reminded Him of His promises from ages past to the children of Israel until God harkened to His intercession. Moses would have thought of His children inheriting all the promises of Israel but He didn’t.
As a leader, do you intercede for the weaknesses of your followers or you laugh at them? Do you intercede on their behalf or find a replacement for them? How often do present their cases to God? When you prefer your children and relative to your followers you need to check on your leader role. Moses as a Great and Good leader, blesses the children of Israel when it was time for him to depart the world, Deut. 33:1-end. As a leader, intercede for those who God has assigned to be of help to your ministry, businesses and organisation. When you intercede for them that makes you a great leader in the making.
Lord, help me intercede for my workers as many as you’ve assigned to be of help to me in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: LET’S  INTERCEDE

Memory Verse: 1 Tim. 2:1
“1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications,  prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.”

Bible Reading: John 17:9-12
“9 “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but  for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. 10 And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.”
INTERCEDE FOR BELIEVERS
Intercession is all encompassing. Many believe in praying for their families alone but it’s beyond that. Worldwide, the faith is face with challenges here and there. Challenges from within and without. Many Christians family are going through hell which has gone a long way  affecting the Gospel. The Gospel needs intercession. We need to pray for believers at large.
Jesus Christ our Lord, when it was time for Him to leave the earth, He Interceded for believers including those who are yet to come to believe in Him (Jn. 17:20-21). He’s prayer was the reason why we are Christians today. He interceded on our behalf and we came to know about Him today.
Believers need to intercede for as many believers going through difficult times; those who are yet to accept Him as Lord and saviour, those who are been persecuted for their faith, and the prayer of faith will work wonders beyond our expectations.
Father, we intercede for believers across the world, those going through difficult times, those being persecuted for their faith in you, we pray for those you still want to bring into your fold, that you Lord, will uphold them all, you will renew our strength, you will stand for us in the face of persecution in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen

TOPIC: LET’S  INTERCEDE

Memory Verse: 1 Tim. 2:1
“1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications,  prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.”

Bible Reading: Gen. 25:19-21
19 This is the genealogy of Isaac, Abraham’s son. Abraham begot Isaac. 20 Isaac was forty  years old when he took Rebekah as wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan Aram, the sister of Laban the Syrian. 21 Now Isaac  pleaded with the LORD for his wife, because she was barren; and the LORD granted his plea, and  Rebekah his wife conceived.”
INTERCEDE FOR YOUR SPOUSE
Intercession is one of the ways God do grant request in times of challenges. Interceding for your spouse is like parents praying for their children and it’s even more effective than that because it create special bond between them. Many marriages are full of complains, suspicious and rift all because no one is interceding for the other. Every great marriages are rooted in intercession prayers, make enquiries to clarify your doubt.
Issac went to God (interceded) on behalf of his wife, Rebekah and God harkened to Him and gave them double as a result of this. Rebekah might have prayed and nothing happened, until Issac went to God.
Your complain is not the solution to the infidelity of your spouse. Quarrelling is not the way to settle things in your marriage, present the case of your spouse to God He will handle the situation. Don’t just pray to gain the glory over the marriage but to make peace reign in your home. Pride, lavishing of resources, nagging, insubordination, childlessness, laziness, joblessness, spiritual laziness and many more can all be handled with intercession. Be the praying husband. Be the praying Wife. Let the home move forward through your intercession. Stop reporting to friends and family, go into intensive intercession and see God in action.
Father, give me the Spirit to intercede for my spouse, even  when things are good and when they are otherwise, in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: LET’S  INTERCEDE

Memory Verse: 1 Tim. 2:1
“1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications,  prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.”

Bible Reading: Gen 18:20-26
“20 And the LORD said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because  their sin is very grave, 21 I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the  outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.” 22 Then the men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the  LORD. 23 And Abraham came near and said, “Would You  also destroy the righteous with the wicked? 24 Suppose  there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also  destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it? 25 Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the  righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” 26 So the LORD said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their  sakes.”
PRAY FOR NIGERIA Part 2
The God of heaven will not destroy the righteous with the wicked. He is the God that protect the righteous. He prevent evil from  befalling His saint. He deliver them from the hand of the wicked. I will like the righteous to lift up their voices this morning and seek for God’s mercy over this nation. That God should consider the numbers of the righteous in this nation to save this nation from destruction.
Father Abraham interceded for Sodom and Gomorrah, pleading to rescue the city from destruction with the presence of Ten righteous people but Ten righteous person couldn’t be found in the whole nation and the nation was destroyed. Can ten righteous people be found In the nation Nigeria presently? Can your righteousness save this nation from destruction? Can my righteousness save this nation from the killings and kidnapping? How righteous are we? We stand in the presence of God daily to pray, dance, lifting up holy hands, but are we truly righteous men and woman?
2 Chronicles 7:14, says,
“14 if My people who are called by My  name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
I will like us all, as many as are reading this devotional this moment, to humble ourselves and ask for mercy on behalf of this nation. Let us all seek the face of the Lord concerning this nation, let us pray to God to avert the evil days ahead of this nation, that we want Him to be our spiritual leader, our ruler, our teacher in Jesus Mighty Name. He said, I will hear from Heaven and heal their land.
Oh Lord, have mercy on Nigeria and heal our land, clean our land, save our land and let your Will be done across the nation In Jesus Mighty Name we pray, Amen.

Memory Verse: 1 Tim. 2:1
“1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications,  prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.”

Bible Reading: Ps. 122:6-9
“6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you. 7 Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces.” 8 For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, “Peace be within you.” 9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek your good.”
PRAY FOR NIGERIA
When there’s no peace on the rope, the birds will have no peace staying on the rope, (Yoruba Adage). The situation in the nation Nigeria call for us to intercede for her. Day in, day out, we keep hearing about killings across the nation. The nation has become ungovernable for the leaders and peace is no more In the country. The peace of this nation determines the peace of every citizens. That we hear the news afar off doesn’t stop us from praying and if the needful is not done on time, it might become generalized but I pray today, that the peace of God that supercede the terrors of the devil will rule across the nation in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
King David was speaking with the Israelite to pray for the peace of the nation therein, because their peace lies In the peace of the nation. The peace of the nation determines the prosperity of the nation. When we refuse to seek peace for our nation we will prepare to become a prey of the nation, but by the mercy of God, this nation will know peace again in Jesus Mighty Name, we will live in peace and prosperity again, the Gospel shall never be subdued in the Mighty name of Jesus. Shedding of innocent blood shall come to an end in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
The source of our peace is in the peace of this nation. Can we just take some minute to begin to pray concerning this nation, speak peace to every corner of the nation, let war seize, let God break the powers shedding innocent blood. All authorities and powers backing the killings, abductions, kidnappings and war should be expose and defeated in Jesus Mighty Name. Let’s ask God to rule over our nation and subdued authorities militating against His plan In this nation. Let God arise and let His enemies be scatter In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Father, we seek for your help over our nation Nigeria, let your peace rule, and reign across the length and breath of the nation In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Keep interceding for the peace of our Jerusalem. His peace will be our song in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: CAN GOD TRUST YOU?

Memory Verse: Luke 16:10
“10 He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.”

Bible Reading: Num. 12:3-9
3 (Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.) 4 Suddenly the LORD said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, “Come out, you three, to the tabernacle of meeting!” So the three came out. 5 Then the  LORD came down in the pillar of cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron  and Miriam. And they both went forward. 6 Then  He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream. 7 Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house. 8 I speak with him face to face, Even plainly, and not in dark sayings; And he sees the form of the LORD.  Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?” 9 So the anger of the LORD was aroused against  them, and He departed.
HUMILITY ATTRACT GOD’S TRUST
Yesterday we discussed about Servanthood as a trust. Today, we will be talking about humility as what attract God’s trust. Humility, in another word, meekness is a very scarce virtue even in Christianity. To be humble is not what you rehearse, it’s what you work on and this go a long way to attract God’s trust  towards you.
Many Christians and even Servants of God lack this virtue and this is visible when they get to a higher pedestrian in ministry and work places. Remember, James 4:6 said,
“6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
Aaron and Miriam were Moses Elder brother and sister. The knew Him well, they brought him up and trained him but they never knew he was trained by God to be a prophet, why? Because He was a humble man. God trust a humble man (even when he is not anointed ) than a proud anointed Man of God. God told Moses’ siblings, that, He trust Moses more than other prophets. He is a man that speaks with God face to face, a Servant and a Faithful one indeed. These shows how trusted He was to God. God was angry with his siblings which led to Miriam having leprosy.
God can’t fight for the untrusted one. They were all prophet but He is fighting for one of the prophet against the others. Can God trust you to that level with your humility? God never gave Moses the time to respond to the allegations against him, He spoke for him, why? Humility. The scripture called him the most meekest man on the surface of the earth. How humble are you? When you are nobody, are you humble? When God take you to that level you desire, will you retain that humility?
Do you want to be trusted by God? Be humble always.
Enjoy Your Day.
